Dr Nell Ward is in the lush, emerald hills of Ireland, to attend the wedding of two dear friends at a picture-perfect farmhouse.

But family tensions are running high in the days before the happy couple tie the knot. And when Nell sees a fox kill a hare in the early morning light, it sends shivers down her spine. Almost like it is a sign of something to come...

Then one of the locals makes a gruesome discovery in a nearby peat bog. Famous for the ancient bodies these habitats preserve, what has been found instead is a woman who died much more recently...

Nell and her friends are suddenly in the middle of another murder case. Can they hunt down the killer and save the wedding, before it is too late?

An absolutely gripping cozy mystery to curl up with. Perfect for fans of Richard Oman, Robert Thorogood and Janice Hallett.

It was a delight getting another story about Nell and the gang. I love the inclusion of botany and ecological facts, as well as the well written descriptions in the more tense scenes. I hope we get another one soon!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I appreciate the research always learn something fascinating in each book. Though a bit tragic, this was enjoyable and quite the page turning read. The performance is also uncommonly good.

I enjoy learning about botany and the roll it plays in our world. Also efforts at preserving habitats. The mystery was pretty dark in this book of the series.

just to finish the fifth book of the series and it's not disappointed. this has become a family favorite series to listen to and I love round trips. The attention to detail is wonderful. makes listening very engaging. as a family, we debate back and forth who we think may be responsible by our suspects of each and every book vz we each think we figured it out. this series always keeps us doesn't. list of loves all the scientific detail and knowledge that is given. very engaging can't wait for the next book

constitant attention to detail throughout the series makes us such an enjoyable lesson.
