“Kay bit her lip”

There used to be an old joke that Lee Child must have a short key for the phrase “Reacher said nothing,” after listening to this entire series to date I have concluded that Ms Amphlett surely has one for “Kay bit her lip.”

Still, it’s probably Kay’s only ‘fault’ (if it can even be called one) since she’s a pretty marvellous character in every other way and ably supported by an equally likeable team. Some of the police (and medical) procedural issues throughout the series are not entirely correct, but it’s fiction and I can live with it.

This was a good story and the narration was great as usual.
