OMG! Totally RELIGIOUS....

These types of books really should come with a disclaimer that it is overtly religious! I could not even stand it. If you don't want to be told to take all of your issues to god, pray 5 times a day about your food addictions and recite bible versus when faced with challenges, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK! This lady probably has good information but as a non-religious person, I was SO INCREDIBLY turned off by the constant god and jesus references, that I could not get past the second chapter. If you are a god dellusionist, than maybe this will be your cup of tea. Personally, I want to empower myself to make life changes.

AUDIBLE - PLEASE indicate when books are maniacally religious based that that unknowing customers to not waste their money on this garbage!

Great

I love that it’s bible based. It is great that she explains things. I’ve even bought the paper book too. Just so I can underline and look aback at things.

A wealth of information

This book had great encouragement for eating healthy. It doesn’t stop at encouraging but also has real life experience of challenges the author and her sister had. She put together a plan with a unique Christian perspective that gives you ideas and resources to help you achieve the results you are looking for. There is a ton of well researched information. You are going to want to buy the book to review over and over again.

Wow what an eye opener!

I learned so much from this book! When you write a little of health issues and most are ‘my issues’ it’s kinda scary! I did low card meals last year, lost 30lbs, no sugar cravings (which was my weakness/stronghold), and felt better than I ever felt! Now I’m ready to get back to it and to make this a more realistic life style change!

Tough on Audible

I’ll be honest while there was good content, this is not a easy “listen”. There are so many links and things to look at in appendixes and recipes etc. so I would recommend grabbing the hard copy it was challenging. Also, I felt like it was so definite. Like no sugar or wheat for the rest of your life, so it was tough for me to feel motivated due to it being so big picture and not smaller wins. The content was good and there were very practical steps so I appreciate that.

Didn’t expect it to be all about god

I believe in god, in my own way and I believe in good healthy eating, however this book was a lot about religion. I purchased this book to learn about eating habits and not to further my religion.

Highly Recommend

This book has changed my life and my approach to eating. Such good information!! I listen to the audible book in the car and I repeat it as a good reminder and to stay focused. I also bought a hard copy to have as a reference. For me it’s a plus she is a Christian author. I had no idea when I purchased it. I loved that as well.

Excellent!

This book is excellent, informative and encouraging!

Honestly, I didn't realize how much damage and illness sugar causes to our bodies. I recently received a diet from my physician for high cholesterol - ugh. But now, I feel much better about getting myself into better health by cutting sugar and carbs with the help of this book.

I highly recommend this book if you are addicted to sugar and/or carbs like me. :)

Load of religious twaddle

I do not understand why her god is going to help people of other religions or, in my case, non religion, to stop eating sugar! The references to Christianity are Very Annoying and offensive, it shows a discriminatory opinion of other beliefs. Unless you are a devout Christian do not buy, it should have a warning on the cover “only Christians can benefit from this book, the rest of you can stay addicted”

Religious person

All about god! Extremely irritating and unnecessary. Waste of money.
I would not have bought if I knew she was all about her faith.

not everyone's cup of tea

well I personally found this might be the right kick in the butt for me I can understand why it may not be for everyone biblically based. I found everything at seem to be being repeated each chapter her sister's story I found quite interesting but other than willpower and asking God for help there was no real tips or tricks other than don't eat it

Good info but lose the god mumbo jumbo

The book has good information and the narrator is easy to listen to but I find myself rolling my eyes and getting annoyed every time she forces god/bible references down my throat. If the Author wants to appeal to everyone then she needs to cut that out. I feel this may make me refund the book.
