Publisher's summary

Henry Bins hasn’t seen his mother in 30 years.

She walked out when he was six and never looked back. Five years ago, Henry started looking for her. Now she’s been found.

At the bottom of the Potomac River.

Henry soon learns everything he thought he knew about his mother was a lie. And that maybe his condition wasn’t the reason his mother left all those years ago. Because Sally Bins wasn’t your average woman.

She was a spy.

Another great installment to the series...

Love this Henry Bin series. The endings all seem a little rushed, but still worth the read. Looking forward to the next installment.

so good

I like the first one better, and I do wish the book was longer. I love the main character and the cat. if the cat dies in this series I'm going to change my star ratings!

Another Fun Ride

Again Nick Pirog has crafted another great Read and Listen. Jamie Renell captures Henry perfectly and the interactions with Lassie are priceless.

Scalzi level fantasy and political intrigue

Comparison to John Scalzi is my highest level of praise and Pirog is nearly there and sometimes funnier. Henry Bins makes the best use of his time and is fortunate to have cool supporting characters. This tale does go off the rails about half way through: unlikely characters are introduced and he is suddenly hit with Hollywood style moral imperatives. Was afraid we were going into a Dean Koontz cliche but these events were needed to drive the plot. We’re saved by, let’s say Lee Child style logistics since I’m name dropping. Gruesome activity, light humor and unlikely action is packaged tightly as with other Nick Pirog works. Henry’s adaptations to his handicap and his cat conversations are memorable. ( I grade hard, I think this is real 5 stars material)

Great story

Nick really holds you captive with his writing. Can’t wait to listen to his other books in the series.
