New to the series. Now I'm hooked. hope they can adapt this into an animation. it has plenty of funny moments but also has tons of plot and story. The narrator was fantastic. I highly recommend.

THIS WAS FANTASTIC

I hope that the author and narrator go on to put out much more content. I am very picky with both writing and narration. This was a treat.

Excellent narration! I hope to see much more.

Felt like an Anime in novel form! I loved it!! Love the anime show as well!! The sound affects arent even that bad! They make the same sounds that they do in my mind anyway dont let the reviews fool you! Im definitely getting the next book! Im here while i wait for the next he who fights with monsters book, so if ur a fan of that this is a good series to try out!

Really Great Light Novel

Found this series by way of an anime. The anime wrapped up it's first season and I desperately wanted to find out what happened next. Really good series of novels. Wound up burning through the whole series in about a week.

The way the story was written takes some getting used to as the author decided to include sound effects in the text. Narrator isn't bad at reproducing them, but it was startling at first, then a little annoying, until it finally dropped into the background. **DING! YOU HAVE LEVELED UP!** will be stuck in my head now for a while.

No clue what genre you would call this. It's a bit like a D&D game but set in the 21st century, with swords and magic instead of guns. Honestly, I want more stories like this.

Great fantasy series!

The voice actor makes some of the funnies sounds
I've never heard someone so bad at making a female voice 🤣
while I did enjoy it I do think the comedic sound effects wasn't what the author intended in the fight scenes lol

I first read solo.levelong when the manwa was coming out and switch over to the Light novel when the school was attacked so I never read the beginning of the light novel before this.

I would say, do what I did. Read the manwa until the school attack and then switch to the light novel. The beginning of the manwa with its art and stuff is much better. It feels much more epic to get you attached.

id almost recommend the anime but that gave me Soo much cringe I can't 😂 'Im the only one that can level up' my man, why are you talking out loud. keep your inside thoughts to yourself

I do think the light novel is better for expressing the MCs emotions and stuff (I kept up with the manwa) and the manwa fully skips the climax of the novel. like my man, the novels 'epoligue' was so long why are you skipping it!?

this volume covers up to the first dungeons the MC takes with his BFF, so the 12 episode anime fully covers this and more. I would guess Volume 3 would be where the anime stops covering the novel
