Great Story, too much info

Love this series thus far. The characters and the world building is well done! Between Hal and his group, the author works to make the villains and monsters into an exciting D&D adventure that is run by a DM, with a sinister smile. Can't wait to read more!

The only thing I didn't like was the constant rehashing of Hal's skill tree descriptions. Yes, unless the focus is on one skill in particular, then people don't need the "Red Stars" ability description repeated 6-8 times in a 34.5 hour novel.

Good Story

I have enjoyed this series so far. The story itself is good despite the descriptions of battles being a little drawn out for my taste. I would have given this five stars all the way through but, the last 40 minutes of the story was just an overview of Hal's abilities. I didn't need or want that.

It’s a good story

I like the concept of how a system would work but I didn’t like how Hal kept reading his stats over and over. Almost every chapter he reads his stats at least once.

Love the story

The story holds my attention , I love Hal and all the others. How to build on a different reality is wonderful. How to be open and learning is even better. Looking forward to the next book.

I love this storyline and the characters also the mc's dilemmas. He deals with a lot both physically and psychologically. The way that he overcomes things and the ending is also really good

Great series so far.

I enjoy long books that I can get wrapped up in. Hard to follow sometimes when you have to stop the book for the night and the next morning pick it back up and I would have to back up a few minutes to remember what was going on but the author tells a story about every character. He gives you a little back ground, which is opening up more and more as we go, about everyone. Wonderful listen. On to book 3. Can’t wait!!!!

Stats stats stats and damned stats

This was such a good story that was just drowning in stats. It felt like spam. Mostly irrelevant. I'm afraid to get to the next book because it sounds like it only gets worse. The last almost 40 minutes of the book is literally reading out the stats in excrutiation detail. It felt like the author was paid by the word and trying to pad it.

I hate to say this but I'm probably just going to skip the rest of his work because it's exhausting. I want the story, but I can't with this much stats fluff. Good story, terrible delivery.

Was an excellent follow up to first book.

First author I have seen that it feels like a real novel with progression and excitement. Excellent job!
