A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. An inn is a place to rest, a place to talk and share stories, a place to find adventure, or a starting ground for quests and legends. It is in this world, at least. To Erin Solstice, an inn seems like a medieval relic from the past. But here she is, running from Goblins and trying to survive in a world full of monsters and magic. She’d be more excited about all of this if everything wasn’t trying to kill her. But an inn is what she’s found, and so that’s what she becomes; an innkeeper, who serves drinks to heroes and monsters. Mostly monsters. But it’s a living, right?

Story
In the beginning, the gods destroyed the world. Five hundred years later, things haven’t gotten much better for humans. The demigods that were left behind to guard over humanity have been using them as fodder for an endless civil war between themselves, and the humans just go on dutifully slaughtering each other, battle after battle. It’s not all bad, though. Perry McGown makes his living off those bloody, stinking battlefields. He works on a crew that reclaims all the spent shell casings. But if anyone found out that he was a deserter from the war, he’d be executed for heresy.

Gabriel Delling might call himself a professional con artist, but when walking superstitions start trying to bite his face off, his charm is shockingly unhelpful. It turns out living nightmares almost never appreciate a good joke. Together with a succubus who insists on constantly saving his life, Gabe desperately tries to survive a new reality that suddenly features demons, legends, and a giant locust named Dale - all of whom pretty much hate his guts. And when an ancient horror comes hunting for a spirit locked in his head, Gabe finds himself faced with the excruciating choice between death...or becoming some kind of freaking hero.

Now, he's surrounded by monster girls, vicious warlords, and everything in between. Worse, his only weapon is a magical branding iron, which seems to have one skill and one skill only, to overwrite slave brands. A somewhat unsatisfying end
This book has a lot of good stuff in it, but is in some ways the weakest of the trilogy. It has less of the clever plans and strategies I have come to love. On the upside, it answers a lot of questions that have been present since the beginning, and the answers are pretty good. It does leave a few important things unexplained though, and the ending feels a lot like "To be continued" and leaves some of the characters in a very bad state, which kind of sucks since it looks like this is the last book in this series. There's one more book in Generica Online, which might explain things, but I still wish the author had just ended it here. I still recommend this book and this series, but brace yourself for a bit of a letdown.

An Isekai mmorpg dystopian future w/ Lovecraftian undertones.
This book pulls together several genres and does a good job of it. Stat block info dumps are boring and make for dull dead space in the audio format but it is forgivable. Overall very creative and fun.

Game of thrones season 8 levels of disappointment.
Awesome setting, awesome story, but it just feels like the author burnt out while writing this book.

So good
Not a huge fan of litrpg in truth. But book one was free with my membership so I checked it out. Then I ended up using my credit and buying the third book. It’s a really good series and well worth checking out.

Not at good as Threadbear
It is however starting to fill in some of the blanks within the threadbare world and frankly I'm really looking forward to when the two worlds start to mesh coherently.

A Heart Wrenching End to an Incredible Series
The entire Generica series has been an absolute treat to listen to, and the last book of Blasphemy Online definitely doesn't disappoint. Without going too much into spoiler territory, I can say without a doubt that fans of the series will be flooded with emotions before the last page is through. Truly a Masterpiece.
