Solid concept and ideas, just stop shoveling pop culture references every padge. It's fine if he's thinking it, but doing it in dialogue 5 times a chapter is so fourth wall breaking it's crippling. The gag where he gets the reference but nobody else does, then attempts to explain the joke when nobody got it the last 20 times is getting REALLY old. Please please stop it, I only wrote this because I like the story. I get it if you like it and think it's a running joke, but just switch it up sometimes, maybe THEY have references HE doesn't get, that would be nice. ANYTHING BUT THE SAME JOKE OVER AND OVER AGAIN PLEASE.

All the more "modern" references make this book an absolute blast to listen to. Cannot recommend this one enough

great story

I was glad that the second installment of this series was as good as the first. the next should be good also,thanks. I am anxiously awaiting number 3

Fantastic book series so far (small spoiler warning)

The only complaint I have is the near final fight and how it played out versus how easy it would have been if the MC had reacted faster to the antagonists’ antics. I get it was for the plot development but i felt it was just a little too drawn out. But other then that, Dante well done, Alex and Marissa a pleasure to listen to your work again as always. Looking forward to the next installment of this series.

the narrator's always do a fantastic job. I like the story so far. There was a part that surprised me some but after having read Dante King's Empire Building books it wasn't as shocking. With that said can't wait to see what comes next. As of the time of this review books 1 through 3 or available in audio format with book 4 coming out December 7th. Books 1 through 6 are available in e-book form Westbrook 6 only recently having come out.
