Interesting

This story is interesting and the MC is not useless, so for now I am looking forward to book 2.

we all know what it's like to be sucked into another world

But what happens when you have saved the day and that story ends and you get sent home... that question that has haunted me since the first time Lord British sent the Avatar home in Ultima. D K Landtroop gives us answers highly recommended.

Such a fun book

I couldn't stop listening. Sleep was lost. Really looking forward to the next in the series.

Extremely good book, cant wait for number 2. narrator is a very good. bought this waiting for the next book in all my other series and if follow ups are this good this will be a main staple.

It’s a slow burn, ramps up in the middle and gets you excited for book 2 when it drops. Genuinely can’t way.

good story

I really injoy this book the pacing is good the characters are relatable if I had any complaints about it I would say it's to short it feels like it was half of a book because of the pacing of the story.

What a solid book

The start of a legendary tale of daring and comedic shenanigans. Looking forward to the next book and watching the empire being born and traitors being dealt with.

AI narration/writing- absolutely not.

The narration is done through AI, with weird pauses and pacing. The writing also sounds AI assisted, at the very least. The story is hard to follow, and is almost nonsensical, especially with all the different points of view. The characters are one dimensional, and the main protagonist is a Mary Sue (or Terry Lou, I guess). I love the LitRPG/Isekaii genre, heck, I enjoyed the story about a sentient Roomba, so when I say this book is not worth the $ or credits, please trust me, because my standards are low.

Repetitive, and too many perspectives, but still interesting.

I love the ‘hero returns home’ trope, so I was thrilled to start this series, even though it is on the shorter side. It started off pretty good, and with incredible narration, but the shifts from perspective to perspective started to become a bit too much. The one that bugged me the most and felt repetitive was the realtor lady. Her first chapter covered, in detail, how self absorbed and narcissistic she was, only to do it all over again in her next chapter.

All of this aside, I do look forward to the next book.
