Acerca de esta escucha

Robyn O'Brien is not the most likely candidate for an anti-establishment crusade. A Houston native from a conservative family, this MBA and married mother of four was not someone who gave much thought to misguided government agencies and chemicals in our food - until the day her youngest daughter had a violent allergic reaction to eggs, and everything changed. The Unhealthy Truth is both the story of how one brave woman chose to take on the system and a call to action that shows how each of us can do our part and keep our own families safe.

O'Brien turns to accredited research conducted in Europe that confirms the toxicity of America's food supply, and traces the relationship between Big Food and Big Money that has ensured that the United States is one of the only developed countries in the world to allow hidden toxins in our food - toxins that can be blamed for the alarming recent increases in allergies, ADHD, cancer, and asthma among our children.

Featuring an action plan for weaning your family off dangerous chemicals one step at a time, The Unhealthy Truth is a must-listen for every parent - and for every concerned citizen - in America today.

This is a wonderful book. Lots of great information... Most of it EYE OPENING 👁

Eye opening information

After reading this book, I realized that a lot of my illnesses as a kid were likely related to food sensitivities. This book is something we not only need to read—we need to pay attention to it.

Thank you Robyn O'Brien for taking out the time and the courage to put this book together. I have a child with severe food allergies, environmental allergies and eczema and I wish I had this information before she was born! Thank you so much again!

Transparency at its best

I have been on a journey for the last 30 years, learning more and more about nutrition and what is healthy. Just recently I was introduced to people in the world of healthy living Who are leading the charge against pesticide and vaccinations. They recommended this book and it was not disappointing.

The book had interesting moments and I commend the author for all her hard work, however her information on soy is misleading. Organic soy is one of the healthiest foods on the planet with plenty of research to back this up (see nutrition facts.org). The problem is with non-organic GMO soy. Also, at the end of the day, this author is still giving her kids quite a bit of junk, just not as much as before. Lastly, the narrator made me cringe every time she said U-nited States. Overall, despite the flaws, an interesting book.
