moves at a quick pace. well thought out. sad that it is over for now, tell the next in series . Love the universe and system. narration is very well done!

Great Story, could use some work on narration

The story itself is pretty good, nothing overly new or unique for the genre, but I enjoyed the characters, a bit more sci-fi style world, and the system well enough, and I'm excited to see it all expanded upon more in future books. My only complain here is the narration. As many others have said, the skill names effectively being copied and pasted, REALLY can take you out of the moment, especially some rather tense ones, I would highly suggest ditching this for the next book. Other than that, I wasn't a huge fan of the Narrators voice for Liz, as I found her voice and a few others a bit overly whiney sounding, which was a bit grating. All things that can be improved on in future releases, overall not bad though, will check out book 2 whenever it comes out.

A refreshing take on a quickly waining genre

Great world, and character building here. The story didnt feel rushed at all. My only complaint is that the story felt like it needed to be much longer by the end, as if this book only told half the story that it was meant to. I hope the second book in the series scratches that itch. Overall, I would recommend this title to anybody interested in LitRPG style stories.

Really enjoyed this book

Can't wait for the next one. At first i was annoyed with the skill voice change but after a while i got used to it also it made it easier to understand when they were talking or referring to a skill, and it helped the flow of the story.

Good first book

Good lit rpg with minimal status but great flow to the book and minimal action interruption

The use of prerecorded skill names was hard to work through it was jarring everytime. If you have a character talking in there voice and 2 words are in a different more mechanical voice it throws the whole flow of conversation off. Also using the same name for the skill is cumbersome and tiresome it made the flow of combat chunky. Cracked phantom armor is never shortened to his armor or phantom plate or Literally any would have been better then hearing "Cracked phantom armor" for the hundredth time. good story great characters.

I love the story, and now that they got rid of the mechanical sound of skills names, I can listen to the audio book without the emergent being broken all the time

Ha, when I would listening to the audiobook sometimes I thought it was Pavi Proczko (with a sore throat or cold) reading... until the two MCs spoke then I snapped back into reality.

Love this story line. And enjoy the banter from the two MCs. Keep them coming.
