Small town friends to lovers

This Carrington Cove series just keeps getting better and better. Grady and Scottie’s story took me on an emotional journey of fresh starts and second chances. I loved their deep connection and seeing their friendship evolve. Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor’s superb narration brought this wonderful small town friends to lovers tale to life.

Grady is Everything!

The hero, Grady, is EVERYTHING! He has loved Scottie since they were kids, but they lost touch for 17 years when he became a Major League Baseball player and she became a mother and a wife to a horrible man. They reunited in their hometown and had a one night stand where Scottie got pregnant. She didn’t realize she was pregnant until she brought her 14-year-old son, Chase, back to Carrington Cove where she got a new job. Grady was all in before he found out about the baby, and was more of a father to Chase than Scottie’s ex. Grady was patient with Scottie as she had to navigate her feelings/the emotional trauma that her ex-husband put her and Chase through. Ultimately, Grady was perfect for Scottie and the dad Chase needed. The caretaking that Grady did for Scottie and Chase was perfect! He was possessive and protective! He had the “my woman” mentality towards Scottie, and the relationship that he had with Chase through coaching the baseball team and working with Chase through a rough beginning was perfect! Scottie was a strong heroine who had to work through her stuff while being everything for her son. The meddling family members are both sides gave humor when it was needed. The plot was more character driven, which worked well for the storyline. I love my time in this world! I would recommend Sometimes You Fall!

Beautiful story

Second chance when the first chance never really happened. I love when characters get thrown an opportunity but then end up tossed together over and over until they finally get it. I love a good stubborn character, with purpose of course and Scottie has purpose for her stubbornness. Scottie has become very protective of not only herself but her teenage son as well. This single mom has been thrown so many curveballs she is not going to lose sight of the ball now. I love how Grady is not the typical type either, he has a lot of soft spots for his grumpy exterior. These two make quite the pair!

Enjoyed

I love Grady showed his softer side in this story, it just took the right woman. The story was sweet and filled with emotions. Both Scottie and Grady had some personal growth to go through. The narration was wonderful. 4.75/overall 4.5/5 story

Really good book

It’s the whole package. Great story and great narration. One of her best and looking forward to the next book

First off the dedication truly set the tone of this book for me! I’ll let you read it…😉

Second loved listening to it in audio!! 🎧 Having Sebastian York + Samantha Brentmoor brought Grady & Scottie to life perfectly!

After these two best friends were separated for 15 years, it only takes one night to change everything.

On top of the unexpected pregnancy, Grady is also trying to connect with Scottie’s son who had vandalized his mechanic shop. To see him grow a soft spot also for Chase was sweet.

Amazing story & narration

I absolutely loved listening to the audiobook of Sometimes You Fall written by Harlow James and narrated brilliantly by Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor. They brought Grady and Scottie’s story to life and all their emotions perfectly. Loved this story and narration so much. I highly recommend this audiobook.

I loved this book. I just had to put that first because there is no way I can say it enough. I started this book and immediately knew I had to finish it that night. I listened to it while following along with ebook and loved Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor as Grady and Scottie (absolutely love the name Scottie).

One thing that cracked me up was that when Sebastian York was doing the voice for Chet it kind of reminded me of Larry the Cable Guy😂.

This book is about two best friends who get separated for 15 years, but after one night everything changes.

I loved Grady and Scottie! Great listen

Can I just say how much I loved Grady and Scottie! Holy moly, Harlow out did herself with this one. These two were hot, but Grady was on fire. They had it rough individually, and were lost before they found each other again. Grady a ex MLB pitcher was back in his hometown trying to rebuild his life. Scottie, a teacher/school administrator and single mom was running from her past and slowly but surely found a safe haven in Carrington Cove.
High school crushes, a reconnect, a hot one night stand, and a surprise pregnancy… sign me up. From the beginning of this story we are given the underlying chemistry, the banter, sass, and all the tension. And, once things heats up boy, does it heat up. Grady’s mouth. Oooo, y’all. Delicious. His actions are also just so swoon worthy.
While Scottie is apprehensive, guarded, cautious, and has a hard time trusting anyone Grady is there every step of the way trying to show her what’s she’s been missing. He’s trustworthy, dependable, and most importantly he won’t leave. He shows her and Chase he’s loving, supportive, and patient. Love the relationship he starts to build with Chase even if he meets resistance. He’s all in, building the family he never had, and allowing Scottie to accept his love and loving her through her insecurities while having some of his own insecurities lingering. They were each other’s missing puzzle pieces. Loved catching up with the crew, and getting updates on them. Loved the meddling families, especially Gigi (Scottie’s grandma). She’s spicy, has no filter and is a boss 😂😂. The audiobook was narrated by Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor. They embodied these characters and the characterizations so well. The emotions they lead with though out the audiobook was a chefs kiss and I couldn’t stop listening. Make sure y’all check out the bonus content at the end of the book. I can’t wait to read Parker and Cashlynn’s story next.
