Love a good underdog story!

Loving Romeo is my first Laura Pavlov book and I will be seeking out more!

Romeo Knight has a chip on his shoulder when it comes to the Crawfords so the last thing he needs is a constant reminder of what that family did to him and one of his friends. That reminder being Demi Crawford opening her coffee shop next to his boxing gym. Yet the more time he spends with her, he sees that she is so much more than her last name. She's sweet and honest and doesn't give up on people she cares about. Will they be able to hold onto each other when people and circumstances conspire to pull them apart?

The narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais was amazing! Samantha highlighted Demi's fierce determination to be her own person, to seek justice - even from her own family - for Romeo and his friend, and her love and support for Romeo. Connor tapped into some serious protective vibes as Romeo's feelings grew stronger for Demi, but he also melted my heart with Romeo's softer shades.

I'm glad I got to start my Laura Pavlov journey with his book. Loving Romeo re-enforces that people are not always what they seem and their value should not be judged based on what they have or who they are related to but how they behave and love others.

Fantastic Narration and a story I couldn’t stop listening to.

I loved this book. In fact I’m not sure love is a strong enough word. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the story to life. They had different voices for each character and brought so much emotion to each part.

The story itself was amazing. Romeo is the bad boy with a chip in his shoulder who can’t help but fall for the one women he shouldn’t. Demi has such a beautiful heart but she isn’t a pushover. Loved seeing her backbone when it was needed. I love seeing a strong heroine who can also be soft. The core group of characters were amazing. I love all of them and can’t wait to read their stories too.

The love story was beautiful and all the extra drama kept me hooked. I loved every moment of this book. Read it. I promise you won’t regret it.

Pugilists abound!

Did not like the woman’s voice. This is a book that needed Duet narration & a good cast of characters.

Loved their heart-pounding journey!

I absolutely loved this 'opposites attract', forbidden romance! Demi Crawford comes from privilege but is sweet, strong, and determined to be successful on her own. She opens a new coffee/nutrition shop next to a boxing gym owned by Romeo Knight. They have several contentious first encounters, with Demi confused and Romeo angry because of his history with her family. But Demi convinces him she is not her family. They find they could use each other's help and make a trade. As they spend more time together, the attraction they feel becomes impossible to deny. They both have complicated lives that make it difficult and maybe even unsafe for them to be together. Will their growing relationship be strong enough to survive those that work to keep them apart? I absolutely adored Romeo and Demi together. Romeo was so protective, sweet and swoony, and I loved Demi's strength and courage to hold her own with Romeo and the rest of the alpha men in the gym who fell under her spell. Romeo and Demi are from completely different worlds but are so much the same with their stubbornness to achieve their goals, and their fierce loyalty and support to those they care about, and their chemistry was explosive! Their heart-pounding journey was the perfect balance of hope, guilt, resentment, forgiveness, love, and passion. It left me breathless and desperate for more. I also enjoyed getting to know Romeo's friend's, including the adorable little Beefcake, and they all added so much heart to this story!
Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor's narration made this story and these characters come to life so beautifully. They both balanced each characters strength, vulnerability, heartache, and passion, making me laugh, cry, and fall in love. They completely pulled me into this world and I felt like I was right there with Romeo, Demi, and all their family and friends.
I absolutely loved this first book in the Magnolia Falls series and I can't wait for more!
