Playboy heir to an empire, Kit Kensington has it all: money, status, looks, power. As Kensington Consolidated’s newest employee (and future CEO), Kit arrives ready to exceed the high expectations that accompany his last name. However, when his new assistant turns out to be Collins Tate, he finds himself off-balance for the first time in his life.
With one glaring exception, Collins Tate has spent six years carefully avoiding the immature billionaire who seems to be universally adored by everyone else. Following an ill-advised bet, which resulted in a night with him, Collins is determined to return to being the one woman who finds Kit resistible. Except she really needs a fresh start and a new job.
Surprisingly, working with Kit isn’t awful. Shockingly, they make a good team. For the first time in years, Collins starts to feel like she made the right decision.
Until their agreement to pretend that night never happened becomes impossible.
Kit Kensington might be a decent boss. But he’s the last person Collins would have picked as the father of her child.
Too bad … it’s too late.

ALC Review: Anti-Hero (Kensingtons: The Next Generation, Book 2)
By: C.W. Farnsworth
Dual Narration by Vanessa Edwin and Stephen Dexter
4.5⭐️
Tropes:
Workplace Romance (Boss x Assistant)
Billionaire Romance
Accidental Pregnancy
Best Friend’s Brother
Slow Burn
Forced Proximity
As someone new to C.W .Farnsworth, I was swept away by the magnetic chemistry between Kit, the reformed playboy, and Collins, his sister’s clever best friend.
What hooked me and wouldn’t let go was their banter—witty, sharp, and totally addictive. You can really feel Kit’s longing, having crushed on Collins since he was sixteen, while she does her best to treat him like the irritating little brother he once was. The one night stand and the ensuing accidental pregnancy completely threw them together, and I loved seeing them navigate all the chaos, charm, and blooming affection.
The narrators brought every emotion and sly remark to vivid life. Vanessa captured Collins’ independence and sass, while Stephen’s voice as Kit—protective, passionate, and a touch mischievous—was pitch-perfect. Thank you to C.W. Farnsworth and Valentine PR for the ALC. If you’re even remotely interested in bantery workplace romances, office shenanigans, or billionaire books with a lot of heart, you won’t want to miss this one!

kit my king!!! i am as obsessed with kit as he is with collins & the weekly fruit nicknames throughout her pregnancy lol. he is such a loverboy and so down bad for collins- he is an absolute dream. i adored getting to see crew back at kensington consolidated & the sentimentality throughout this book is one of my favorite reasons for multigen series. the cat and mouse game between these two had me on the gnawing at the bars of my enclosure! kit’s foot permanently resides in his mouth when it comes to monty & its honestly hilarious how the confident and suave billionaire is a fumbling idiot when it comes down to communicating with his crush. their slow burn romance was so delicious, and the banter was absolutely perfection. i have adored every CW book i have devoured, and anti-hero did not disappoint!
stephen dexter and vanessa edwin’s narration was absolutely ear tingling!! it kept me engaged and obsessed with these two, even more so than i was already by the writing- they were the perfect choice for these characters.
thank you so much to the CW Farnsworth and Valentine PR for the opportunity to receive and review Anti-Hero, it was absolutely chefs kiss!!

The Story
Kit Kensington is the heir to a massive empire, with the looks, charm, and status to match. He’s used to the world seeing him as a spoiled playboy, but behind closed doors, he’s driven and determined to prove himself. Collins Tate, fiercely independent and practical, has spent years avoiding Kit after one ill-advised bet led to a night she’d rather forget. Now, working as his assistant, she finds herself pulled back into his orbit. What starts as professional boundaries quickly becomes personal especially when Collins discovers she’s pregnant. Kit doesn’t hesitate. Instead, he steps up in every way possible, determined to be present for both her and their child.
What I Loved
✔️ The narrators absolutely nailed it. Vanessa Edwin gave Collins a perfect mix of sass, independence, and warmth, while Stephen Dexter’s portrayal of Kit hit all the right notes protective, passionate, and with just enough playfulness to make you smile. They made the emotional beats and sarcastic moments come alive.
✔️ Kit as the ultimate “green flag” hero. From the second he learns about the pregnancy, he’s all in no hesitation, no pushing her away. His support felt genuine, and his actions consistently proved he cared about what Collins wanted, not just what he wanted.
✔️ Collins’ independence. She’s not looking for a handout and wants to stand on her own, even when life throws her an unexpected curveball.
✔️ The lighthearted, personal details. One of my favorite touches was Kit tracking the baby’s growth week by week using fruit comparisons it added a sweet and playful element to their journey.
✔️ No unnecessary drama. There’s no third-act breakup or contrived misunderstanding, which made their relationship feel more mature and steady.
✔️ A mix of humor and heart. There were moments that made me genuinely laugh, and others that gave me that warm, “this is what romance should feel like” vibe.
What Didn’t Quite Work for Me
Kit’s devotion to Collins is crystal clear from the start, but her feelings for him sometimes felt like they developed more out of proximity than deep emotional connection. While they work well together and share plenty of pregnancy milestones, I wanted more moments showing their relationship growth outside of the baby storyline.
🎧 Narration
Vanessa Edwin and Stephen Dexter were perfectly cast. They gave the characters distinct voices, natural chemistry, and nailed both the emotional depth and the banter. I especially enjoyed how Stephen’s voice brought out Kit’s mix of confidence and sincerity, while Vanessa gave Collins that perfect mix of strong-willed determination and vulnerability.
Tropes
✔️ Workplace romance (boss x assistant)
✔️ Billionaire romance
✔️ Accidental pregnancy from a one-night stand
✔️ Friend’s younger sister
✔️ Nicknames
✔️ Always been you
✔️ No third-act breakup
Final Thoughts
Anti-Hero is a light, feel-good romance with a hero who is fully committed from the moment he knows he’s going to be a dad. If you’re in the mood for a pregnancy romance without unnecessary angst, great narration, and a couple you can root for, this one is worth a listen.
Thank you to C.W. Farnsworth and Valentine PR for the ALC access that made this review possible!

Man, Kit is so down bad for Collins. I ate it up.
Kit’s been gone for Collins since he met her as a teenager (as her friend’s younger brother), and after one night where they give into temptation, they end up working together—with Collins as his assistant. You know, I don’t love an accidental pregnancy trope, but it is done so well here.
Kit is all in with Collins all the time, yet he never really pressures her. I love that he lets her set the pace, so their relationship seems to progress naturally. From witty banter, to a little flirting, to ‘yes let’s move in together.’ The narrators did such a good job embodying the characters, and I think I enjoyed this story more as audio.
This is the second of the series but I didn’t feel lost, and it just makes me want to go back and read book one even more.
A great listen

I wish she knew how HARD he fell first.. so expect this #HEFELLFIRST in a huge way!!
Monti is a hard nut to crack- She had her fair share of heart break and is a little..like a drop cynical on love :) Not giving it a chance BUT she is an awesome and sensitive person regardless.
She is strong and loveable.
Collins “ my fresh start kept getting staler” is such a true sentiment for where she is at for a start.
She keeps trying and Im proud of her.
I loved Kit, even thought he is portrayed by others as a trust fund baby there is a LOT more to this man.
He fell hard first… so hard. He is not obsessed but in awe off Collins from the very get go. Always putting her needs first.
“I would develop an interest in watching paint dry if that was an activity she was interested in..”
But a very x Kit is definitely not a push over either.
. a trial ?” “run.. sure.. if a trail run ruins you for all other runs “ xx Kit
“Does that mean you are a devil? Baby I will be what ever you need me to be… ugh hum.. cough cough. the banter is so good!! It "warms" up at the second part of the book and notches up a level or two.”
Utter devotion (cue Olivia Newton John “Utterly Devoted toooo youoo “)
I don't want Anyone. I want YOU
I loved Anti Hero, Seriously on a scale from 1-10 its 11!
Monty and Kit just make for such a Fantastic Book.
The growth and Patience and love that is written into it amazes me.
It's a gentle book in a way. In that it handles situations with maturity rather than explosive behaviour. I am taking a page from their book in taking life by the horns.
Happiness is finding this read.
Im sure you will love it as much as I did.
Narrators, Thank you! The nuances in the humour and the sensitive moments were just perfect.

Come Monday morning, Kit steps into his new role as CEO of the family company—only to discover he desperately needs an assistant. His sister’s solution? Collins. He hires her without hesitation, more than happy to keep her close. But six weeks later, Collins realizes she’s late… and pregnant. Now she’s stuck navigating her new job, her complicated boss, and the reality of becoming the mother of the CEO’s child.
As far as the audio narrators, Stephen Dexter’s voice seemed to be a little too old for Kit for me. Vanessa Edwin totally killed it as Collins!
Tropes:
It’s Always Been You
Sister’s college roommate
Boss/Assistant
ONS turned Accidental Pregnancy
Billionaire Old Money MMC
Reverse Age Gap (2 years I believe)
Forced Proximity
Slow Burn
Old Money Billionaire Boss meets Sassy Assistant

The narration was so good. The relationship between the two characters was brought to life so well. I loved the banter and the affectionate scenes done by both Stephen Dexter and Vanessa Edwin. These two are quickly becoming new faves. Stephen has this voice that soothes and just wraps around you and Vanessa provides this kind and seductiveness to her voice when needed that you just feel engulfed by her words. If you love he falls first, best friends brother, wealthy, family driven book, this is it.
