Worth Every Bit of the Hype

I waited a long time to read this book because it was so overhyped. I didn’t want to fall into the trap of expecting something amazing and then not understanding why everyone loved it. But I kept hearing people rave about this series, and knowing I could listen to the entire series with the same narrator finally convinced me to give it a go.

Book one did not disappoint.

The character development is strong, and each storyline is told in a way that lets you understand different perspectives and motivations. The emotional depth surprised me. By the end, it is almost heartbreaking, and you find yourself wondering how these broken and traumatized characters will ever move forward.

The performance was outstanding and brought the story to life in a way that made it impossible to stop listening.

I cannot wait to see where book two leads and where the rest of the series takes these characters. An easy five stars for both story and performance.

The voice of the fae.

The voice of the fae lives in this woman. She could read every single book from SJM and we could all die happy. After listening to this in the original and the dramatization. This is the one.

I loved every moment of this book, I was so excited I just sat there not knowing how to express it.
