I need more right now.

I loved reading Overlord novels, and was really excited to see this in my recommendations.
Criticism
When I started to listen, I was skeptical when Chris did Albedo's voice. it was not bad, but it wasn't as feminine as I would prefer for her especially. I have the same complaint for the other female characters, but they weren't as jaring as hers. I can't say I got used to it by the end, but it didn't feel as weird as it did in the beginning.

Now, Chris does deep voices well, I love Ainz's voice, but he doesn't have a lot of range at that depth, so when we got to a knight in the later part of the book, it was hard to follow because of how similar to Ainz he sounded.
Pros
This is a very high quality production, with voice echos and such that make it a joy to listen to. Chris has problems with his extreme voices, but his mid range voices all sounded unique and fit the background characters. You could feel emotion and truth in his words for a lot of the characters. Paring him with such a great story is fantastic, and well worth keeping this in the library.

The narration absolutely brought this story to life. I can’t wait for the next volume!

adore this series

I own all of the physical copies of this series so far and have read the fan translation uo to the current book. The audio book was a nice surprise and I love that it's his English voice actor from the anime, but. the parts where he does Albedos voice in her excited or giggling lines is kind of pain full to hear. good on him for not just cold reading it but damn do I wish they would have gotten a female voice actress to do those voices.

tldr: great story and one of the best isekai style books. just a little cringe to hear his deep voice giggle.

I’ve been a fan of the anime and mangas for years. This book was great and can’t wait for the next volume. The narrator did an amazing job!

fantastic, but...

The only real gripe i have about this audiobook is the cliché and cringy reactions from the female characters.

and the fact that Chris pronounces "Cavalry" as "Calvery."

Is amazing how accurate to the novels the amine is! I loved the in depth background the book added. it's a great ride!
