Superbly Informative

There are very few books written on the devastation caused by economic dearth and the deeply disturbing financial clandestinity furrowed within dysfunctional and exploitative relationships. EFA superbly highlights some of the key conceptual factors underlying economic abuses in ways that are easy to reconcile.

A good read for all with interest in better knowing the volitile intricacies involved in financial and economic exploitation.

Helping others escape financial abuse

I am a victim of financial abuse. This book was helpful in letting you know that you are not alone. I wish that the book would have armed the readers with how to get started on getting laws passed to help victims of financial abuse. I feel the need to advocate and help others who have been through this. Current laws tend to be on the side of the abuser.

Recovering from Financial Abuse

I am in the process of recovering from financial abuse and I found many of the stories to be heartbreakingly familiar. My abuser has been covert in his attempts to control and manipulate me financially, so it was unrecognized until it was too late. I especially appreciated the story of the woman who determined that her abuser would not win in his attempts to destroy her financially. She was taking odd jobs and making many personal sacrifices in order to regain financial stability. I am doing the same.

Excellent book

This book has shared what has largely been a minimally discussed and understood form of domestic violence as well as spiritual and psychological abuse. This is a must read for all people, especially clinicians. I applaud this author for making the content accessible and clear in case examples.

I like it so far very good for a 3 hour listening time ... my first time reading this book and I’m so glad I picked it

This book helped clarify financial situations I have been begging for years for help with never realizing it was abuse.
