Another good choice from series

This was smart and funny, and I cried more than the first book. It was a second-chance romance that was older than some previous characters. It was spicy and had a bit of a D/s relationship btw MM that was amazing! Worth a credit

I’m not crying

I’m not crying you’re crying lol such a cute story. I usually stay away from stories about exes getting back together but I really like Aiden’s voice <3 I’m glad I got this book

The Perfect Second Chance!

I loved Conrad and Whit's story so much! Grief tore them apart, but they never got over each other and I loved how they made their way back together. I was not expecting Conrad to be so filthy, but goodness. There were so many little nuggets of wisdom sprinkled through this story that made it even better. But the way these two loved each other. That was definitely a soul deep kind of love.

The best HEA

I love this story so much. I was always intrigued by these two. The stolen looks. The wanting gazes. I knew they were made to be together and this HEA didn’t dissapoint at all!

I was rooting for Will and Connie since the first book ♥️ so I'm happy with their story.
I wasn't expecting the kind of intimacy they have but I loved it anyway

This one doesn't even try

When using the fake trope, there has to be an element of the unknown in order to potentially fool a specific group of people - usually to save face in front of an ex, a horrible parent or some other awkward situation. In this case it is the Grandmother-in-law who is supposed to believe the these two haven't been divorced for four years - a lucid, active women who still communicates with people in town. James barely tries with this one, giving bland main characters, a wafer thin plot and the dumbest reason for another split. Even two well established and capable narrators seem to know they're working with pretty sad material, a generous four stars for them, Snow pushed them over the line from three stars.

These run on series set in tiny town Idaho or Wyoming where every third person is gay and no one seems to mind need to stop. I understand the value of escapist romance, but acting as if Rattlesnake Gulch, Texas is a thriving Mecca for gays seems to better serve a reader who doesn't want to acknowledge the real challenges LGBTQ people face in America, especially in small towns in conservative states. As most of these authors are women writing about gay men, I am often left wondering about their motivation. They continue to push unrealistic body types, just like they do in MF romance, lean into hyper masculine stereotypes of military, pro sports or ranching, and eschew these guys appreciating design, fashion, music or culture. This book hits so many wrong notes that I didn't want to finish it. Not recommended.
