Great series

As always Lucy Lennox delivers on easy to get into stories with lovable characters. The side characters were just as dynamic as the MCs, which adds depth to all her books. My only small complaint is that Michael Dean voiced the two MCs so similarly that it’s easy to forgot who’s talking. In his more recent works he differentiates the characters beautifully by adding a distinctive deep voice that would have been perfect for Xander in book 1.

ETA- after finishing the last book, I’m shocked at how utterly awful Zach was to Lucky. He treated him like dirt throughout the entire book, showcasing astonishing emotional immaturity while insisting Lucky was the “kid.” My heart broke for Lucky as he kept chasing Zach and Zach did nothing to deserve his devotion. It was hard to listen to, and his weak explanation for his horrible ways did nothing to redeem him as a character. I’ve never read a book where I rooted for one of the MCs to ditch the other like I did here.
