Luca

I enjoyed the story. However, I think it needed more . Loved Luca and his darkness as well as his demeanor. Haven however I thought she came too childish at times and the patient Luca had for her.

The start of something good

The start to the dive into the universe of the dark kingdom and meeting the big players in this world. The performance of this story was great, both narrators did very well bringing Luca and Haven to life. This story sets us up for the rest of the series!

Ffs, why why why are women so stupid? It isn’t bravery it is utter and complete stupidity. That is all. I don’t even feel sorry for her. It’s hilarious

This was a little disappointing to be honest! The story was alright but it was really predictable and the spice was mediocre at best. Def expected more!

Haven is fucking annoying and stupid smh other than that the book is good and Luca is patient with her

~I am so happy that I finally started this series after becoming obsessed with the lords this is exactly what I needed! The narration for this book was great! Code of Silence was the perfect start to the Dark Kingdom world I know I will get stuck in! Code of silence is a dark mafia romance that follow Luca & Haven & their twisted path to the love they both deserve. If you love a good dark mafia romance with a forced marriage trope & a second chance at love this is the book for you!~

Not 100% sold on this…

Tessier can write a great story, so I’m going to stick with this to see if book 2 grabs me.

But UGH - I seriously did not like the lead characters in this. Especially the FLC. She’s a complete brat.

GIDEON is the man!!! Love listening to his voice, never disappoints. He was PURRRFECTION!!!

Luca never told Haven that he didn't sleep with 5 women or that he was celibate while they were apart. Good story, lacked more questioning from Haven as a women who was hurt by the man she loved and a little unrealistic. Also, instead of having the FMC keep saying, "What's going on" more than 3x which is super is infuriating, how about have her use her brain to say something something clever.

Good Narration

I’ve read this series prior and decided to do the audio in order to refresh in prep for the next book in the Spade brothers series.
