One hell of a book!

Oh my God! This book is a must read. From beginning to end leaving you wanting more.. One of Rina Kent best books by far..

Kink. bad high school drama portrayed in a “college”

Sexual scenes and some plot of possible serial killer in the male lead. Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorite narrators, so when he is cast, I usually enjoy. However, the idea that there is this cast system in a college setting… that the main beautiful character has no positive friends or outlets is crazy. Her mother wants her to be “popular” which in turn, she needs to be a cheerleader?! Ummmm in what point does this need or actually occur in an adult setting. Nothing against cheerleaders! But that does not signify popularity in a college setting or even high school anymore?! Anyone else like music, art, gymnastics, softball?! These, or anything like this just naming even a few could have been better than that old cliche.

I can see this plot taking place in a high school where it would be better suited. I was not anticipating this type of “follow what your mother says, be popular, be a cheerleader, group shaming, and being alone” when you have an entire campus.

This seemed too far fetched for the overall setting. This was a huge downfall. Also, the main characters “best friend “ is a total POS. The fact that this strong lead kept speaking to this individual made me want to put this book down numerous times.

Once again. Sex scenes are intense and fun at times if you are into a darker themed, breath and choke play type of kink. The cat and mouse aspect of the scenes was fun, for me at least which was the only redeeming aspect.

Ending does make me want to find out what happens in hope that the next book may fit the adult or college aged setting it should have presented in this one.

Sebastian can get it👏🏻😏 I totally devoured this book so quick and when I got to the end I thought I was going to lose my damn mind! I loved Sebastian and Naomi, I also really, really enjoyed the side characters. I wish they were getting their own books but sadly Miss Rina said we are not🥺

All the Narrators did such a wonderful job, this is a great team!
Jacob’s voice is very appealing and I crave to hear more of him.
Rose Dioro did a wonderful job voicing Naomi as well as other characters in her POV.
Teddy Hamilton, I’m a Mega Fan of his, his voice is absolutely gorgeous and love listening to the way he narrates.

FINALLY, the book I've searched for has been found

I've been searching for this book for a LONG time now. A book with the perfect mixture of demented, animalistic, sadistic/masochistic fantasies, and a great story. The chase scene was more than I ever thought to hope for, but the night with the power going out was just fantastic. Kink shame all you like, but don't knock it til you try it, ladies. And finding books that have a good story and also have the kind of scenes like this are rare. I felt like Naomi and I were the same person in so many ways. I'm not Asian, so in that way we are not the same, but I absolutely love Japanese culture, I feel that itch she talks about throughout the book that made her think something was wrong with her, I've had my own trauma that played its' part in it, and I played the part of standoffish goth chick in school. We even listen to the same music. So it's safe to say that this series is going to be near and dear to me for a long time coming. I can't even express my happiness at stumbling across this, and I loved Rina Kent's books before but this one was on another level of kinky that I just adore. She's not afraid to get down and dirty and push the boundaries of a contemporary romance novel and I LOVE that about her. She doesn't steer clear of the scary and equally amazing stuff that makes our dark sides come alive, and it's what will earn her a lifelong fan for life from this geeky, kinky weirdo. This one's going in my top five list for 2021, and I haven't even finished the second book yet. I already know it's gonna be epic. But if you're into vanilla or you don't like non-consent play, this one is NOT for you. But how anyone wouldn't get a little hot around the collar from the chase scenes is beyond me!

Quarterback and the cheerleader

Absolutely loved this!
It all starts off with a bet, or does it??? Sebastian goes hard at inserting himself in Naomi’s life. Seb likes to chase and Naomi like to be caught. There are outside forces getting in their way. Particularly Sebastian’s grandparents who want him to act a certain way. Both have things from their past that have made them the way they are. It ends in a cliffy but the duet is complete on audio.

Narration was amazing!

It's not bad

I agree with another reviewer that said this sounds more like high school than 21 yo college students. If 21 yo are this immature, we're all doomed. I liked the dynamic between the MCs when they were playing. The narrator was very good, it was nice to hear a female voice actor that didn't grate on my ears. The story...well, it's pretty much the same as all of the stries like this, but I still can't help but listen

Excellent story, superb narration, brutal cliffy

This’ll be short and sweet because I need to get to the next book.
Check your triggers. This contains CNC so if that’s a problem, do not even consider this book. If you like CNC and a chase, this is your book!
The story is good…kind of a Cruel Intentions element mixed with CNC.
The narration is excellent! Teddy and Rose are rockstars. We don’t hear Jacob much in this book but we all know he’s a rockstar also.
This ends in a brutal cliffhanger which is why this review is done. I need to get to the next book! Ok bye!

Highly Recommend

I must say this type of dark fetish is not my cup of tea, HOWEVER, I gave it a chance (mostly because of Teddy Hamilton's performance, he is perfection😍) and I liked the story. Some parts may be uncomfortable but if you push through it makes sense of the characters and the story and the pay off it's worth it. Rose Dioro is new to me and did a great job. I loved Jacob Morgan's voice sprinkled in like little treats throughout. I definitely want to know what happens next. Warning: there is a doosey of a cliffhanger.

Completely unexpected

Went in blind as this author is new to me, I didn't know what to expect but it was such a good book, a bit dark and may be triggery for some people but still a very good, mouth opening, and WTF these main characters are out there kind of book. Narration also good. Cliff hanger at the end will for sure make you go to book 2 unless you totally hate the book, which I did not.
