An Excellent book!! my training program -- based on the information in the book and the authors' teachings. I wish I listened it a year ago, as I could have avoided injuries (rotator cuff and forearm ligament strains) which costed me months of frustrating down time. Under the suggested plans in the book I am once again able to progressively increase my strength -- but in a manner which takes into consideration the longer recovery periods we senior lifters require to avoid injury while still making an advance our program.

Great information. The plan is direct and simple. Other lifting for old folks books prescribe so many different exercises that you could never become proficient at them if you spent eight hours a day in the gym--forget about making any progress at getting stronger.
I also appreciate staying focused on strength and conditioning for health outcomes.

This book is a great source of recipes inspiration for any fitness and food enthusiast. The recipes are relatively simple and amazingly tasty, I've tried out a handful and haven't found a bad one. The author doesn't fill pages with pointless personal anecdotes that no one will read, which is a nice change of pace.
