This was a fun story with twists and turns. I am excited to read the next book.

At first I wasn’t feeling it because I’m not a big fan of books written in third person however !! I’m glad I kept reading because I’m locked in 🤭 I can’t wait to experience my vamp sis female rage in book two because if that cliffhanger was anything to go by ! There’s definitely some plot twist that I don’t think I’m ready for !!!!!

Came in with high hopes, turned out to be average

Decent storyline very light smart got really interesting in the last third of the book way too much main character background reiteration

When Brynleigh enters the "love is blind" like contest she meets Ryker Waterborn. She knew he would be there and her plan of making him fall in love with her and ask her to marry him comes from her need to get revenge for the loss of her whole family. Believing he is the one who cost her everything leaves her with no choice but to take everything from him including his life.
Finding out the truth means she's been wrong this whole time but her plan is all ready in motion and even though she wants to stop it she isn't the one in charge.
She chooses not to murder him, however, the one in charge decides to take it into their own hands. She's fallen in love, but will he believe her?
Great cliffhanger (thank god book 2 is all ready out).

Wish it was a duet but man I love this book. I love the modern story with fantasy.
