I am… feeling so many feelings right now. I’m gutted while reeling while sad while angry while mournful while hopeful. I can’t even figure out what exactly I’m feeling right now but I promise this is worth the credit and that you will be entertained the entire time

That ending got me. I did not see it coming. I will be heading into the second book right away! I need to see how the rest of this plays out. I don’t see it going well for Zander any time soon. Evie is beyond mad and I don’t blame her since she clearly didn’t see it coming.

The magic system is interesting, the creatures are unique, and there’s a brilliant twist with mind-to-mind communication that adds such emotional intimacy.
Zandyr said “I can eat and still talk” and I haven’t recovered. (If you know, you know.)
And the smut?
It was more poetic than graphic, which suited the tone of the story perfectly. Nothing felt out of place — it just flowed

Special shoutout to the side characters: her cousin Ally and Adara completely stole the show. I’d love more from their POVs.

I listened to this on audio, and all i have to say is, Jeremy York!
It's so worth it.

And that ending… wrapped up beautifully, yet still left me wanting more.
Now that’s how you write a duology.

Narrators. Story. All perfect!!

I love the female narrator's voice so much!! She made me love the character even more than reading it myself. That's not always the case, but this book put everything together perfectly!! The way the female narrator's inflection matched the male narrator's actually voice was seamless. I absolutely LOVED this!!

Exceptional Romantasy!

I had been searching for a great romantasy series for some time after reading and rereading From Blood and Ash, ACOTAR, and The Empyrean Series. This never came up in any of my searches, but it was exactly what I was looking for.

Strong heroine, a hero who’s devoted to his heroine, fasted mates, set in a kingdom, magic, with a truly surprising ending! I’m excited to continue with the next book in the series! I highly recommend!
