Publisher's summary

A human female born into a breeding manor never has a choice...I am a slave, but at least I am alive.

When the man with wings and scales gave me a second choice - I took it. The others of his kind pin me with hungry eyes, but I’ll do what I must to survive. I'll preside over their Draken Games - and choose a winner every night to share my bed. The alternative is death.

Traded from one prison to the next, I have but one hope left - the Lost Siren. I must find her before the demon hordes come if these men - Drakens - have any chance of escaping their mountainous prison, and me along with them.

Perfect for fans of Jennifer L. Armentrout, The Lost Siren is the exhilarating introduction to the Rise of the Drakens series.

This is a full-length reverse harem/poly fantasy novel.

Warning: There are dark themes and possible triggers.

It’s okay

The book itself is good but the audio quality is pretty poor. There’s a lot of times where the audio cuts out and is filled with white noise before coming back and sounds almost empty while she’s talking not sure how to exactly explain it. Would highly ask for the audio to be re-recorded or completely replaced by someone else.

Not feeling it

Had me for a minute but the audio was horrible. It sounded like it was recorded in an empty room, the clips of audio that came in and out. It was very confusing and irritating. The story was decent but not great. I hope book two isn’t as bad.

The narrator was good but the audio wasn't.

The audio was very echoey, though the narrator's voice was good. The story was a bit predictable.

Good start to the story

Good start to the story but could have built more detail into the back story and lead into more character development. It fell flat in many areas for me because of this. The story has so much potential.

Overall a Disappointment

You want a primal love story with semi depth to characters, read it.
Performance may have been better if the audio quality and echo wasn't so bad.
I had high hopes for this book but it plateaued early.

Great Story, Needs Better Audio

The story is so easy to fall into. Enough details that I can picture the scenes easily. The MC is easily one of my favorite female characters. I wish the narrator would put in more emotion and change her tone just a bit to help differentiate characters. I had to rewind quite a bit to try to figure out who said what. As stated in another review, there is also an odd white noise to the audio that makes it hard to focus on the narrators words.

Finished and would not recommend

This book had what could’ve been an interesting storyline but the writing was bad and unfortunately the audio made it 100x worse. It was alright at first but as it went on the writing kept going downhill and by the end it was all over the place. However, my biggest issue was with the audio… the reader is so inauthentic with the way she reads it drove me nuts. In one specific scene the FL was in extreme danger and the reader had the most MONOTONE VOICE while reading something along the lines of: Ohh. *pause* noo. *pause* (slowly) what am I to do?😐

Bamboozled again . . .

This was a booktok recommendation and I was greatly fooled. From the first 30 seconds of this book you can tell it is the great value brand of audible. The performance is terrible from the readers accent, to her pronunciation of words, the echo in the background, and even the ambulance/police going by in the background at one point. The idea of the book as a whole had potential but it was horribly written and terribly performed. Did not finish this book because I could not.
