Publisher's summary

Back at the farmstead, Damon gets a chance to rest and recover from his recent adventures. With Vel teasing him more than ever, finding time to play outside of the range of Malon’s watchful gaze becomes a quest in itself.

When Bylia arrives at the tower in search of a new muse, the farmstead’s lurid secrets are at risk of being thrust into the open by her songs. Damon does what he does best. He wines her, he dines her, and spirits her off on a trip away from his complicated home life.

If only it were that simple....

This book contains forbidden consensual sexual encounters between the main character and the closest women in his life.

Be Careful What You Wish For...

I enjoyed the book. The story moved out of the loop of Damon's insufferable "can't control myself" antics with the three women in his life when he gets a visit from Bylia and is pushed into taking her out for adventure [due to his insufferable "can't control myself" antics!]. They get more than they bargain for and, through it, she learns more about young Damon than he wanted. We find out where the Series title comes from and Damon finally begins to understand how his behavior can affect more than just himself when the secrets he barely tries to keep anymore threaten to spill into the open.

It's more of what readers began, expect, and long to continue. The action is good, the love is slow-burn, and the characters are finding themselves. Lana Lee is such a joy to listen to, you'll find yourself relistening to the books just to hear her read it.

Here's hoping Book 5 will come out soon!

Good continuation of series

If you liked other books by Anya Merchant you will like these too. Lots of sexual tension but not overpowered by sex scenes

World building, character growth, and a reason for the title to boot!

So, let me say that I’m thoroughly enjoying this series so far. It’s very well written, in my opinion. The MC is a very well realized uncontrolled lecherous individual with a strong sense of good. He’s not broken, per say, but lacking a strong male role model. The worst part is that the women in his life rather incorrigible in their own ways. If you’re already this far into the series, you’ll know exactly what I mean.

The story was pretty good, and felt very believable to me. The MC even seems a touch more self aware as the story progresses. The women in his life are certainly aware of him and his antics. The narrator, Lana Lee, has been spectacular so far, and I’m curious as to why she stops being the narrator from book 5 on.

I’m really glad I started reading this series. It’s so very interesting.

Doubling down on shame and male belittling kink

I mean holy crap. I thought that maybe just maybe there would be some type of progression with the MC finally growing a pair but it ends up with the MC just being a glorified man child. Bad.
