With his wrathblade in hand, Damon returns to the farm alongside his aesta, Malon. The days pass in a routine mixture of familiar chores and fair spring weather. The two of them return to normal, ignoring the illicit shadow of their shared intimacy.

But he simply cannot forget their night in the tent. How could he ever forget her body and her touch? Malon’s insistence on shoring up the proper, appropriate boundaries between them only makes it that much harder to dismiss how far he and his aesta have already gone.

Fortune favors the bold…and the patient. Damon trains with his sword, helps out around the tower, and plays the part of a well behaved solas. At least, until Ria and Vel arrive back home.

This book contains forbidden consensual sexual encounters between the main character and the closest women in his life.

plot is weak, very weak. I like the narrator and enjoyed listening. everyone likes sex scenes occasionally, but the situations seem middle schoolish and MC truely believes no means yes or a definite maybe. I will try number 3 to see if plot goes anywhere. I can sum up plot in one sentence. guy is in debt to bas people and wants to have sex with his entire foster family.

hmmmm?

If you liked other books by Anya Merchant you will like these too. Lots of sexual tension but not overpowered by sex scenes

Good continuation of series

Another incredible book. I am so glad I found this author. So far I love all of her books.

Loved it

Ok so I am so frustrated with aesta Malon, all her rules and hypocrisy with breaking them. Forcing her way into Damon’s and Rias blossoming relationship. I won’t say what she made Ria “promise” but it made me almost homicidal. Val was less of a pissy brat than in the first book but still annoying.

Damon made me so fucking mad too. Whining about his “Aesta” while dry humping her, telling himself it’s wrong while doing other acts. This is a thing he keeps whining about like a little kicked puppy who wants a fucking head rub. I needs to take control over his life and say no to people that try to “guide” *cough* control *cough*

Spoilers, he needs to basically fuck malon to save the day and after it she tells him that it won’t happen again and he may not explore his relationship with Ria under her roof and he just nods because oooh I am such a fucking beta, let me roll on my back and beg for belly rubs. He needs to take charge over things in his life or else become a “I’ll let the woman decide what is best for me” man like the MC in Binding words or monsters mercy. Disgusting!

Anyway now that the rant is over.. the rest was awesome and I find the overall story intriguing. Will see what book 3 have to offer.

Great overall story in this book

This was fine, but didn't really grip me. It did add some nice fantastical touches to explain how the characters are drawn together, and I was amused by the different cheesy ways the author found to make it sound like characters were talking about sex when they were talking about something else. But I didn't like it enough to want to keep going through a 12-book series.

Not bad
