Raven Monroe:

I was meant to live my life in silence, but with the help of my three men, I’ve been able to break free of my cage and fly. Though life is unbelievably quieter for us now in New York, there is still just one… soft… lingering lullaby faintly composing itself in the back of my mind.

The altar awaits.

But a shallow grave sings louder.

And my Death Lullaby is swelling into a full symphony, dragging me back to a lonely mansion I once called ‘home.’

Some melodies are just meant to end in bloodshed.

Oh my heart! I’m such a sucker for a happy ending and I truly hope we get more from my favorite twisted little family! My sweet baby Jonas is still my favorite! The entire section of this book dedicated George is perfection!!! I will never again hear Mission Impossible and NOT think of George! I also love that we got more chaotic ADHD perfection that is inside Jonas’s head! 😂🤪 Now Maverick surprised me in this book. I loved that it was him to helped Raven with George! 🫶🏻 Mac stole my heart with that move! Lastly, as always the audiobook is absolute PERFECTION!! Joe Arden is the audio narrator GOD!! Sadly, Heather Firth still hasn’t figured out how to pronounce peridot. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ This might be a novella but I am giving it 10/5 stars!!!! Loved it!

Such a sweet symphony

Always by Ruby M. Darling is the final lullaby, the final revenge, the final chapter—and what a breathtaking ending it is to this unforgettable series.

Raven walks through so many uncomfortable, painfully real emotions in this installment. The quiet insecurities that chip away at self-esteem. The fear that makes it harder and harder to speak the truths we most need to say. It’s raw and deeply relatable. But at its heart, this story reminds us that true friendship saves us. Having that one person who knows what must remain sub rosa and what needs to be shared. That safe place to land when everything feels unsteady.

And then there are her men.

Each of them brings something uniquely essential to Raven’s healing and growth. They don’t just love her—they understand her. From the gentle, playful demigod energy to the commanding, sadistic alpha presence, to the obsessively protective, possessive devotion—each man meets a different need within her. Emotionally. Physically. Completely. Their dynamic isn’t just passion; it’s precision. They know exactly who she is and what she needs in every moment.

The friendships and business relationships that were only lightly sketched in the previous books truly bloom here. Side characters step forward in meaningful ways, shaping the emotional weight of this final act. And the twists? They will keep you on edge until the very last page.

And the narration elevates this story to an entirely different level. Joe Arden delivers a phenomenal performance, giving each MMC a distinct voice and presence. His passion and emotional depth bring every scene to life, making you feel each possessive whisper, each commanding tone, each vulnerable moment. Meanwhile, Heather Firth is absolutely perfect as Raven. She captures her fragility, strength, fear, and fire in a way that feels authentic and immersive. Truly, no one could have voiced these characters better.

Always isn’t just an ending—it’s a culmination. A haunting, powerful, and deeply satisfying close to a spectacular journey.

Everyone needs a little George in their life!

Hey everyone, welcome back to another audiobook review first I just wanna say how much I’m gonna miss these characters when I first read speak last year, I immediately fell in love with all four of our main characters, Raven, Jonas, Damon and Maverick. Now that their story has ended with this Novella I already wish that Ruby incorporated them into other books that she writes. Obviously, we know that Raven and her men appear in Sabrina’s books, obviously because they appeared in scream. I really hope that they make another appearance in book 2 of Sabrina story. I also just wanna talk about the absolutely phenomenal freaking job of Joe Arden and Heather Firth throughout speak, stutter and now always. They absolutely narrated these characters beyond anything that I’ve heard them do and we’re talking about two narrators that I absolutely adore are in my top five of male and female narrators when they did the first book in this duet, I was just jaw off the entire time and my jaw stay dropped throughout shutter and always. I need Heather and Joe to do more books together. They sound absolutely in sync, and I felt like they were pushing each other to do the best that they could throughout this audiobook. Of the three men that Joe narrates in this book, Maverick absolutely has to be my favorite just the way he portrays this maverick is on the same level as when he did Christian Reeves during under your scars. I mean he was just on it when playing the character of Maverick. Like I said, I am so sad to see these character story and but I thought that Ruby ended their story in the best way possible like I said I really hope that we get to see them in Sabrina‘s story again and I just hope that there’s some way that we can get like a little snippet of them in some of Ruby‘s other works further down the line as well.

One last Raven Lullaby 🥰🥰🥰
