The first year of college is supposed to be the best time of your life, right?
Partying, discovering yourself, getting your heart broken… all that bullcrap.
My cousin once told me I had a talent for attracting trouble. And screw me sideways, he was right.
Instead of discovering myself, I discovered something much worse.
I suck at college.
Oh, and I am in love with my rival and former best friend’s boyfriend.
I wish I could say that’s the extent of it. But drama and trouble find me everywhere I go.
Not only was he my rival and enemy’s boyfriend. He was my stepbrother.
And now he wants to play a winner takes all game with me.
The problem is I never back down from a challenge. And I was feeling confident too… until my stepbrother’s estranged twin brothers that I had never met before entered the game.
Vicious Games is a reverse harem taboo romance—meaning the main female character will have more than one love interest, and yes—it's downright dirty and taboo. It contains adult themes, course language and is solely intended for mature audiences over 18. Vicious Games is book 1 in The Lies We Keep series.

Rylee is such a complicated FMC. She's messy, angry, and spiraling in ways that made me want to both hug her and shake her. Hearing her unravel through Michelle Sparks' voice made her pain hit so much harder. Michelle always crushes it and is definitely one of my favorite female voice actors.
Asher kind of infuriated me in this book. Joe, of course, nailed his arrogance, his push-and-pull with Rylee, and the way he weaponizes his presence. Yes, I kind of hated Asher, but also couldn’t stop wanting to know what he’d do next.
And then there’s the cast of side characters: Jenny (whom I loathed), the twins Blake and Zayn (chaotic in the best possible way), and Chuck, whom I adored and hope shows up in the next books. Every character had their own energy, and the performances by Anthony Palmini, Sean Masters, and Aaron Shedlock were amazing.
If you enjoy dark, unfiltered romance that digs into chaos, betrayal, and obsession, the audiobook of Vicious Games is the way to go. The narration elevates every ounce of drama and angst. And of course, the Queen of Cliffhangers left us wanting more right away.

At the heart of the story is Riley, still reeling from her father’s death and struggling to find where she fits in after her mom remarries. She feels invisible at home, clings to the found family she’s built in unexpected places, and ends up pulled into a game with her golden-boy stepbrother, Asher. What starts as a challenge quickly turns into something much more dangerous and a whole lot hotter. Add in secrets, lies, and the sudden arrival of Asher’s twin brothers, and this becomes the kind of story you can’t stop thinking about.
The audio makes this book unforgettable. Michelle Sparks nails Riley’s mix of sass, vulnerability, and raw hurt her performance makes Riley leap off the page. Joe Arden’s Asher is perfection. He slides between arrogant, sharp-edged, and tender with effortless precision. Anthony Palmini gives Blake that biting, cold intensity that keeps you on edge, while Sean Masters brings out Zayn’s smoother, more curious energy. And Aaron Shedlock adds just the right gritty charm to Chuck, Riley’s biker bar fling. Together, this cast doesn’t just read the book they perform it like a high-stakes drama you can’t look away from.
If you love dark romance with forbidden dynamics, explosive chemistry, and the kind of full-cast production that elevates every scene, Vicious Games is a must-listen. I devoured it and am already itching for the next book in the Lies We Keep series.
Taboo, twisted, and utterly addictive!

The FMC is angry, grieving, messy, guarded, and basically fighting to survive in a world where she is the odd one out and not wanted. She has every right to behave the way she does and yet everyone classifies her as the problem when in actuality she’s not. She is close to making her escape, and here enters the MC. The MC is the embodiment of toxic of wanting to eat his cake and have her too. He makes everything absolute worse just for his estrange brothers to come to implode absolutely everything.
They treat her as the villain as though once again she isn’t. Idk, this is just a chaotic hot mess and a train wreck; but I have to know how this ends kind of train wreck.
I read this as an audio and the full cast of narrators made it very easy to distinguish what character is who and what roll they play. Brought forth the emotion each character needed to immerse you in the story.

This was a smutty slow burn read, it was fun and hot. I enjoyed the character build, the way you can tell how damaged the FMC is and how she just needs someone to care. Sadly her love language does not match any of those around her.
If you want the full experience, go with the audio. These voices are spot on and really put on those sexy tones to match the story. Can't wait for book 2!
More to come...

Rylee is a college student living with her mother and stepfather and stepbrother, Asher. She appears not to like Asher, but really she does. Too bad he is dating her ex best friend. Rylee's a hot mess- not keeping up with her coursework and doesn't know if college is even for her. I want to like Asher. At first, I didn't and then I did when he really seemed to care for Rylee, but then he turned back into a jerk.
The whole book was a wild ride. It ends on a cliffhanger, and I need to know what happens.
I listened to the audiobook narrated with a multi-cast: Michelle Sparks, Joe Arden, Anthony Palmini, Sean Masters and Aaron Shedlock. Very
A Wild Ride!

Rylee will do anything to move away and start over somewhere else. The only problem? She doesn’t have the money to do it. Hence a game with her stepbrother, Asher, is born. The prize? If Rylee wins, Asher will give her enough money to leave and start over. And Rylee NEVER backs down from a challenge.
“𝒯𝒽ℯ𝓇ℯ’𝓈 𝓉ℯ𝓃𝓈𝒾ℴ𝓃 𝒷ℯ𝓉𝓌ℯℯ𝓃 𝓊𝓈, 𝓅𝓊𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓊𝓈 𝓉ℴ𝑔ℯ𝓉𝒽ℯ𝓇 𝓈𝓁ℴ𝓌𝓁𝓎, 𝒷𝓊𝓉 𝓈𝓊𝓇ℯ𝓁𝓎. ℬ𝓊𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝒾𝓈𝓃’𝓉 𝓈ℴ𝓂ℯ 𝓃𝒾𝒸ℯ 𝓇ℴ𝓂𝒶𝓃𝓉𝒾𝒸 𝓁ℴ𝓋ℯ 𝓈𝓉ℴ𝓇𝓎. 𝒯𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝒾𝓈 𝒶 𝑔𝒶𝓂ℯ 𝓌𝒽ℯ𝓇ℯ 𝓈ℴ𝓂ℯℴ𝓃ℯ 𝓁ℴ𝓈ℯ𝓈...”
But these games are a little twisted... Especially once her other (twin!) stepbrothers join in! These boys are even more unhinged than Asher. I don’t think you are ready for their games. 🥵
This book had me cracking up, hot and bothered, feeling that angst and tension, and ready to start a fight to defend my girl, Rylee.
The audio for this one was so good. I’ve listen to (and loved!) every single one of these narrators before. But I have to say, Joe Arden k¡lled it in this one! He was amazing as Asher. His emotion and angst was perfect!
I loved Michelle Sparks as Rylee. She really brought her sassy, never back down persona to life.
Aaron Shedlock was so good as Chuck! He was the sweetest of all the guys. I can’t wait to see where Aaron takes his character!
Sean Masters & Anthony Palmini were both amazing as Zayn & Blake. We didn’t get to see too much of them in this one, so I can’t wait to see what else these 2 bad boys get up to!
