Story
We are all indebted to Carl Watner for uncovering an unknown work by the great Lysander Spooner, one that managed to escape the editor of Spooner’s Collected Works. Both the title and the substance of “Vices are not Crimes” highlight the unique role that morality and moral principle had for Spooner among the anarchists and libertarians of his day. For Spooner was the last of the great natural-rights theorists among anarchists, classical liberals, or moral theorists generally.

Story
A collection of 19 essays on the constitutional, moral, philosophical, and practical aspects of the U.S. government's failed War on Drugs. For Vance, the fundamental issue in drug regulation is individual rights. He does not at all deny that these drugs can cause great harm; but the issue of regulation is not to be settled by balancing the benefits and harms of open access to drugs against the benefits and harms of their regulation or prohibition.

Story
Lew Rockwell, in this new volume, examines the starkly contrasting systems of capitalism and fascism, noting profascist trends in recent decades as well as the larger historical trends in the United States and internationally. Combining economics, history, and political philosophy, this book doesn't just provide a diagnosis of what ails American and Western society, but also sheds light on how we might repair the damage that has been done.

Story
Ludwig von Mises said there can never be too much of a good theory. Salerno proves it in this sweeping and nearly comprehensive audiobook on applied Austrian monetary theory. He uses the Mises/Rothbard theory of money to reinterpret historical episodes, reevaluate the history of thought, closely examine the Federal Reserve policy, seek out cause and effect in business cycles, provide a new understanding of war and social unrest, and clarify the relationship between the state and the central bank.

Story
According to a 2013 Gallup poll, the vast majority of the American people don't believe the government's Warren Report about the assassination of president John F. Kennedy. But there are so many theories about the assassination that it's difficult to make sense of it all - or even know where to start. Who has the time to delve into the controversy and figure it out? And what difference does it make anyway? If that describes the way you feel about the Kennedy assassination, then this book is for you.

Story
Anticipating the arguments of modern libertarian political philosophers, Lipscomb presents a biblical view of a voluntary society. He questions the idea that governments are created for the public good and argues that peaceful civilization is not dependent on the state. Christians should not participate in politics but should attempt to persuade people to follow the laws of God rather than using force.

The two most important words in the lives of the American people for the past 60 years have been national security. The term has transformed American society for the worse. It has warped the morals and values of the American people. It has stultified conscience. It has altered the constitutional order. It has produced a democratically elected government that wields totalitarian powers.

Story
Liberty in Eclipse is an expose and indictment of our nation's descent into the early stages of police state tyranny. Topics discussed include the militarization and federalization of law enforcement; the establishment of a quasi-dictatorial "war presidency"; the evisceration of the Bill of Rights, and due process guarantees going back to the Magna Carta; the increasingly commonplace surveillance of Americans; the institutionalization of torture; and the likely restoration of conscription, including a military draft.

Story
For over a decade now, the American economy has been on a rollercoaster - an economic boom between 2003 and 2008, followed by a severe economic downturn, and with a historically slow and weak recovery from 2009 until the present. The recession of 2008-2009 had its origin in years of monetary mismanagement by the Federal Reserve System and misguided economic policies emanating from Washington, DC.

Story
This book proposes the impeachment of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for high crimes in Libya and Syria. Michael Ostrowski and James Ostrowski, who heard their father condemn the Vietnam War in a speech in 1970, have teamed up to write a profoundly antiwar book. When you hear the title, you may be tempted to think it's a partisan book. But it's not. It's mainly an antiwar and anti-state book that is really four books in one.

Story
Everyone who is serious about ideas now has to deal with the issue of "intellectual property", especially given the advent of digital media and the state's war on the supposed violators of the intellectual rights of others. The situation has at once become very hopeful, with more sharing of ideas than ever before in history, and extremely grim, with the federal government pressuring every internet-service provider to act as proxy enforcers of an unjust law - and twisting the arms of developing countries to adopt draconian, Western-style IP law.
