On March 6, 2006, the fire department was called out to the Melrose Apartments in Concord, North Carolina. There was a fire inside one of the units. After firefighters extinguished the blaze, they looked to see if anyone was injured or deceased inside. They found no trace of anyone inside the apartment. They learned that the apartment was leased to 43-year-old Pamela Callahan, and no one could find Pamela anywhere. The fire was later determined to be arson.

37-year-old Jesse Conger was last seen leaving his girlfriend’s apartment in Scottsdale, Arizona, on August 14th, 2019. He drove off in his silver Toyota Camry and has never been seen or heard from again. When his girlfriend returned home from work, she found some items missing that pointed to what possibly happened to Jesse, a US Marine Corps veteran who served multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. More than two years have passed since Jesse disappeared, and his loved ones are still desperate to find him.

On the evening of February 4, 2003, four-year-old Sofia Juarez was at home in Kennewick, Washington. One of her relatives left the family home to make a quick stop at a nearby convenience store for milk. After he left, Sofia decided to follow him. The bright, bubbly young girl who would have turned five the very next day vanished into the night, never to be seen again. On April 10, 2019, 69-year-old Betty Alexander was at her apartment in Sullivan, Missouri. Nothing seemed amiss. Despite a recent visit to her deceased husband’s grave, Betty was in good spirits, excited about her grandchildren’s upcoming sports games and her regular visits with family. A few days later, her daughter knew something was wrong when Betty didn’t answer the phone, wasn’t at home, and hadn’t been to church. Without any warning at all, Betty was gone. Two years later, her daughter is continuing to carry the torch for Betty.

Terri Ackerman spent much of her time babysitting her two grandchildren. On Thursday, August 23rd, 2018, Terri was at her daughter’s home watching the kids. She left that evening, hugging everyone goodbye, stating she would see them again in the morning. What no one knew at the time was that this was the last time they would see Terri. When she got home, Terri called her daughter, Ambyr, to let her know that she made it to her Lochbuie, Colorado, home safely. Everything seemed fine. Later that night, she called Ambyr back again and seemed upset but didn’t go into detail.

In early April, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office announced that they had solved and closed the 2002 disappearances of 20-year-old Angela Mack and her son, Thomas “Mikey” Rettew. Our last episode explored the dramatic turn of events in Angela and Mikey’s mysterious disappearances since we originally aired their story in March. Today, we’re continuing our dive into this incredible, still developing story. Three months ago, we brought you the story of the disappearance of Angela Mack and her son Thomas "Mikey" Rettew from a small town in northwest Arkansas. No one knew who had seen Angela and Mikey last or under what circumstances. Our records requests with law enforcement were ignored, and our efforts to conduct an in-depth interview with the investigator were denied. Then, in a bizarre plot twist that seemed almost stranger than fiction, the investigating agency announced that the disappearances had been solved and the case closed almost exactly one month after we aired the original episode.

23-year-old Amanda Grazewski disappeared from an apartment in Derry, New Hampshire, in the early morning hours of March 17, 2020. Amanda was spending the night there along with a few other people. The others reported that they went to bed, and by the time they awoke the following morning, Amanda was gone. Strangely, all of her belongings were still there, including her bags with clothes, cell phone, and purse. Using Amanda’s phone, they contacted one of Amanda’s friends, who went to social media to see if anyone had seen or heard from Amanda.

On Saturday, June 30, 1984, 21-year-old Harry Milligan finished his job painting a house and met some friends at a bar called Waterworks in Albia, Iowa. The bar was just over a ten-minute drive from his home in nearby Avery, Iowa. We don’t know for sure what transpired inside the bar that night. There have been stories that Harry won a large sum of money in a card game, but this can’t be substantiated. Harry’s friends reported that later they grabbed a six-pack to go and rode around cruising. The group returned to where they had parked their cars and went their separate ways.

Leona Kinsey disappeared from La Grande, Oregon, on October 25, 1999. A friend last saw Leona at a local Walmart. According to her friend, Leona said she planned to meet someone at a nearby grocery store and then stop by her friend's house around 7 PM that night. Leona never showed up at her friend's house and was never seen again. Her friend became concerned and later went to check on Leona. She found that Leona wasn't home, and her pets weren't cared for in a way that Leona would have if she planned to leave for any amount of time.

On Friday, January 17, 2020, Veronica Reyes-Diaz left the home she shared with her husband and three sons in Dover, Florida, to spend the evening out with friends. After gathering at a local restaurant, one of Veronica's friends dropped her off at home, and Veronica left in her own vehicle to pick up her kids from her sister's house. Veronica was seen on a neighbor's surveillance returning home with the kids. Veronica tucked her kids into bed and has never been seen again. Veronica's family tracked her steps by piecing together cell phone location data and surveillance video.

24-year-old Jacob Hilkin was last seen in Tulalip, Washington, on January 23, 2018. He had been at a casino with some friends and left, stating that he would catch a bus home. Jake was spotted in the area but then disappeared without a trace. We first covered Jake's story nearly three years ago, and today we are bringing you an update on how Jacob was found and what has happened since that time. In December of 1988, Joan Bernal, her husband, and their children had plans to leave their home in Joliet, Illinois, and head to Texas to visit her husband's family for the holidays. Things didn't go as planned, and they weren't able to bring Joan's children from a previous marriage due to custody issues. According to Joan's husband Gil, they decided to make the trip anyway, and Joan got upset along the way. Gil stated that he dropped her off near a McAllister, Oklahoma bus stop, and gave her some cash to get back to Illinois.

On the evening of May 24, 2020, 52-year-old Emily Noble was out celebrating her birthday with her husband. They stopped at several restaurants in a popular part of Westerville, Ohio, and then made their way home for the evening. During the night, Emily’s husband got up to use the restroom and then went back to sleep in a guest room, not wanting to disturb Emily. When he woke up later that morning, Emily was gone, and her wallet, phone, keys, and car were still at the residence.

On the evening of February 28, 2019, 20-year-old Matthew Anfeldt disappeared after leaving his mom’s house in Tenino, Washington. He had spent the day with his sister and her boyfriend. The three went out bowling together earlier in the day before returning home. Videos that his sister took that day show Matthew smiling and laughing. They returned to his mom’s home, and Matthew spent more time chatting with his sister. To those who saw Matthew that day, everything seemed normal. Matthew got up to get his cell phone and never came back to his sister’s room.

On March 31, 2020, 25-year-old Kenna Harris carefully packed a backpack with her medications, a yoga mat, and some of her other favorite belongings. Kenna headed out of the family home in Monroe, Washington. There was a local bus that was supposed to take her to her shift at work that day, but Kenna didn’t go to work and told the bus driver to go on without her.
