Married to the mafia boss that plucked her from a life of anonymity, Laura’s life faces new heights of passion and danger in this darkly sizzling inspiration behind the Netflix film of the same name.

As the wife of Don Massimo Torricelli, one of the most dangerous Mafia bosses in Sicily, Laura’s life is a roller coaster. She is often at risk, the potential target of Massimo’s unscrupulous enemies who will stop at nothing to destroy the powerful man. And when Laura is seriously injured in an attack, pregnant and fighting to survive, Massimo faces the toughest battle of his life. What will his future be without Laura? What will the fate of his family be, and whose 365 days may be coming to an end?

Great job the author is very talented, she really needs to make the 4th movie to close this story up on the screen. I hope she keeps the ending because nobody deserves to be with someone who is controlling and manipulative and the author makes that a real key part in her books.

Amazing

(((Deep breath))) Ok, so this is the only book in the series that I gave 5 stars. I gave the others each 4 stars. I so wanted Massimo’s personality to be the lighter side, but in the end, his dark side was his dominate side. Throughout the book, I would get frustrated with Laura, but then when I would remember what she had and was continuing to endure within that same original 365 days, I would quickly end my judgement. I didn’t realize there were movies of these books, so I started watching those too - and although they only loosely followed the books, I was drooling over both actors playing Massimo & Nacho. Holy hot Italians!
Anyway, when reading other reviews (before reading the series), I wondered how the author was going to flip the script so-to-speak to reveal the depths of Massimo’s ugly and bring out the greatness of Nacho, and I have to say, she did a great job. As in the earlier books, I wish the narration had dual points of view, but overall, very well done. I couldn’t put these down.

Not Massimo, but Nacho & Laura

I want to start off by saying I enjoyed all three books very much. I watched the movies first and of course the books are so much better and informative. I love Nacho! I liked Masimo even with his controlling behavior but his behavior after Laura’s assault was awful. Now to the narrators… the male narrators voice is just awful and I’m thankful we didn’t have to hear much. The female narrator was ok not awful but not great. What really bothered me is she pronounced Givency correctly in the first book but incorrectly in books two and three. She pronounced balaclava as baklava in the first book. And the most frustrating part no one has mentioned is the glaring timeline error in the story. Spoiler alert if you haven’t completed please don’t read this part… When Masimo drugs Laura at the wedding and kidnaps her again they sit down to dinner and Masimo tells her he’s learned after hypnosis she wasn’t a vision but someone he saw five years earlier in Croatia. Laura thinks back and remembers being there with Martin for her birthday five years earlier… Hello Laura and Martin had only been together for one year by the time she’s kidnapped the first time. How could the author make this mistake and her editors didn’t catch it?? I still enjoyed the story line. I’ve read the books twice and listened three times.

Third time listening to all three even though there is a major timeline error in book three no one caught before releasing.
