First time hearing this author, really enjoyed the book

It was a little slow going in the beginning, but it was worth staying engaged and listening to the whole story. I will continue to listen to this author for sure.

Didn't care for this one

Struggled to care about the characters or the storyline. Not Megan Mianda's best story and I love her other works.

Disappointed

I pre-ordered this and the anticipation was intense. Unfortunately, I was sadly disappointed. The story line is the same as the majority of her other books (think “All the Missing Girls”) but not as good. I was hoping for a comeback after “Daughter Of Mine,” but it’s getting old. To top it all off, the narrator’s voice didn’t fit the character.

Preorder excitement, didn’t hold up

I preordered this book and was very excited about it. But I was disappointed when listening to it; I didn’t care about the mom (Beckett) at all. I enjoyed her other books but I never got into this one.

Very disapointing

This novel began with interesting characters. But then it seemed to just lose its way. It ran out of steam. The pacing slowed. The characters failed to deliver. The tension just stopped. I finished the book but I just did not care by the end. Save your credit for a novel that will matter.

Worst non abusive mother ever

YOU BELONG HERE could have been a better book, in MC/narrator Beckett was less of a helicopter mom. Insisting that her daughter Delilah under her thumb, she’s never met a boundary she won’t cross. Seriously, this woman is an example of why some adult children choose to estrange themselves from their parents.
No matter what happened 20 years ago, Beckett’s sense of entitlement to her daughter’s every thought and action is inappropriate. I wished that I could grab her through the audiobook speaker and tell her that at 18, her daughter should be separating and becoming independent. She needs to develop the confidence to stand on her own feet or else she’ll be an anxious adult?
I’m going to stop ranting because if Beckett doesn’t bother you, you might not dislike this book as much as I do.
