“A wedding is the beginning of the end.” (Lochlan Blaine)

Look, I’ve seen firsthand what marriage does to a man. I’m not interested. You want to take the leap? Fine. But have the decency to elope. Leave me out of it.

And then I see her. The happily ever after loving bridesmaid at the wedding I couldn’t get out of.

This flower-wielding bombshell is all wrong for me. But one night together is enough to convince me that she could be the answer to my problem. All I need is three weeks with her....

“Weddings are magic.” (Tilly Camden)

I love love. And weddings. That’s how I land the best job in the world: professional bridesmaid. Brides hire me to make sure their big day goes off without a hitch, usually while dressed in taffeta.

I can’t wait until I find the one. The cranky, three-piece-suit-wearing Adonis who smirks at the idea of happily ever after is definitely not him. Lochlan Blaine has “heartbreaker” written all over him.

I should know better. But when a panty-melting one-night stand turns into an offer I can’t refuse, what’s a bridesmaid to do? It’s only three weeks. It’s just business.

I can’t possibly get my heart broken. Can I?

Love he is Coltons friend and the little reminders of the others from other books of hers… i love series where they are all so close,,, anyway
I listen to different romance ones to fit my mood and this one was another favorite that of course I will listen to again,
Not all stories are fir everyone but if you are in the Avery Maxwell universe how can ya not love all the characters she brings to life …

I guess the short of it is, I listen to book to enjoy it and not look to find the faults that might be there, I just figure it wasnt the right time to listen… different moods find different books and narrators to listen too

Fabulous narration of a wonderful story. I’ve read the book twice and had to revisit it on audible (better version of a book made into a movie). Connor was great as Lochlan and I forgot how darn funny his family is! Well all the characters are hilarious!

Fabulous

This is my first Avery Maxwell book, and I went it with little expectations. It was a fun rom com with just enough smut. The plot was solid, the character growth was good, but I wish the heroine would have stopped calling the hero lover at the beginning of the book instead of him that nickname throughout the story as it became annoying. Otherwise a good read and I would recommend it, as the annoying nickname is a me thing.

This was a good story but it lost a star because I feel like Tilly was unreasonable. She just meet Lachlan and wanted him to commit and promise marriage before they even got started. I think that’s a bit much to ask of anyone. I get that she wanted the fairy tale but you have to at least see where a relationship can go before you talk about marriage and she kept pushing him to say he’d do it. Totally respect Lachlan for being up front about marriage but again he never said he couldn’t love her. I also am not a fan of female narrator but I love Connor as always! I love the chapter where Lachlan gets “drunk on love” and alcohol, lol, and also love the nosy yet caring old lady neighbor Mable. So, if it wasn’t for the female characters over the top ideals this could have been a 5 star book.

Freakin’ Mable
