Hilarious, Heartfelt Dual Narration!

Merry Missile HO! Santa Has a Six-Pack by Erin Mallon is a hilarious, heartfelt holiday romcom that left me feeling oh so festive and filled with so much holiday cheer! Erin always wows me with her comedic charm and witty banter, and Penny and Matt’s enemies to lovers, tension filled light-hearted romance did not disappoint. This Christmas gem will be enjoyed year after year for many holiday seasons to come!

Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke perform this audiobook in dual narration, and this pairing is one my fave narrator dream teams. Erin is in her element, showcasing Penny’s grumpy sass along with her softer vulnerable moments when handling more serious moments with Penny’s mom. Jason in a romcom is my absolute fave! (The RAP!) His lighter, expressive voice is spot on, conveying Matt’s gooey cinnamon roll golden retriever demeanor making this man even more loveable. Plus, both narrators create the perfect amount of longing, lust, and love between Penny and Matt.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a holiday romcom with a sassy department store employee, a world's fittest Santa, dedicated best friends, awkward tension, festive raps, seven minutes in heaven, strenuous gym workouts, sitting on Santa’s lap, Thanksgiving Day parades, family drama, healing from the past, intimate conversations, spiral ham, keeping secrets, loyalty, spicy times, love declarations, grand gestures, and a HEA that will make merry in your heart, then you will love Penny and Matt. I always look forward to more from Erin Mallon!

Absolutely, positively, amazingly brilliant!!! This hilarious and wonderfully romantic book gets all the stars for all the reasons! I love it. I smiled from ear to ear from beginning to end. These characters really found a place in my heart. Erin Mallon is simply amazing.

Narration by Erin with Jason Clarke is everything I want for Christmas. I just love it when we get to see his comedic side. just plain awesome casting!!!!

Penny & Matt

Oh my! Hooked from the start. You will truly fall in love with these wonderful characters and definitely enjoy their story. Penny & Matt were both dealing with their own emotional baggage yet their pull was so magnetic. I loved this fun-filled, festive small town holiday novella. I can’t wait for Kiera & Gene’s story in 2026.

Erin Mallon & Jason Clarke are remarkable bringing the characters to life. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. They are entertaining storytellers, and their captivating performance keeps you enthralled from beginning to end.

Fun and smexy holiday romance with fantastic narrators!

4.5 stars! This is a super fun holiday workplace romance. Reverse grumpy sunshine, he falls first, and she’s afraid to fall. Penny works for a big department store who decides to do a “worlds fittest Santa” contest to help boost sports equipment sales and bring in more people over the holidays. A twist of events brings Matt and his business partner Eugene, who own a fictional version of a cross fit gym, and Matt wins the contest with his hilarious holiday fit Santa rap and costume, much to Penny’s chagrin (because she was immediately attracted to him despite not wanting to be).

As Matt and Penny get to know each other during events at the store and behind the scenes interactions, their mutual attraction grows, with Matt falling hard and fast, and not wanting to rush things with who he thinks might be his end game - enter spicy slow burn.

I loved Matt and Penny’s story, it’s fun, sweet, funny, and sëxy. The side characters are great (with a great set up for a sequel book), and the back stories and plot surrounding the romance are really well done and make for a great holiday romance.

And if you’re an audiobook person, the narration just takes this already super fun holiday romance and elevates it. You can’t go wrong with an Erin Mallon/Jason Clarke pairing.
