Basic, but good.

For sure, as the title suggests, is very basic, but contains great information. I would recommend for anyone with very limited knowledge around wine and wanting to learn a bit more about wine.

Great Introduction

was a great book to get an introduction to the basics of wine. Will be a great stepping stone to become a sommelier.

Guess I needed Wine for the even Dummer

Loved the section on how to look like a pro at the restaurant when asking for and assessing the wine. But I wanted to know things like how do I store wine at home when you don't have a cellar, how long can I keep wine after I open it. Do I need to keep it on its side of it didn't have a cork? I guess I'll wait for the 5th edition.

If you really are a dummy when it comes to wines, this is the book for you. I really enjoyed it, and it gave me the basic info i want.

Not really recommend

Rather I formative, but as you learn more about wine you can notice easily that some information is not quite accurate. Some theories are nothing but myths and I think delivering right info is more important than large info

The Very Basics

It was good to listen to but is best for the beginning wine drinker and novice wine server.

I hate the jumping around

I’m really really tired and I really want to read this book. I’ve been looking forward to it for a month. I figured I’d put my audible credits to use and while I’m not missing any information and I enjoy the performance thus far…20 minutes in and I cannot follow along!! He jumps around within the chapter and it’s frustrating

Not much to it, I learned only a tiny bit.

It's just far too short and doesn't include nearly enough information about wine. Though I will say that the narrator did a great job and the book wasn't as boring as one would suspect.

I know so much more about wine now.

I knew nothing about wine at all. Now I know at least the basics. There is still much more to learn.

loved the detail and learned a lot

I really enjoyed listening to this program. It taught me a lot and I think I already knew a lot from being a winemaker.
