Great re-visit to the Psy-Changeling world

Genre: Single-author collection

Four stories set in Singh's wonderful Psy-Changeling world.

Echo of Silence is about Tazia Nerif, a human engineer on the deep sea station Alaris, and the station commander, Stefan. Tazi was shunned by her family because she chose not to marry someone from her village, instead focusing on her career. Stefan suffered a trauma as a child, before he started his Silence Protocol training, so he is allowed to assist at disaster sites. He asks Tazia if she wants to help on one during shore leave, and one thing leads to another...

Dorian is more of vignette than story. It feels more of an outtake from the full-length novel in which he is the hero.

Partners in Persuasion is about Felix, a submissive wolf horticulturist and Desiree, a dominant wolf soldier. Although he finds Desiree attractive, Felix is shy and reluctant to open himself up to heartbreak with a dominant again. Desiree must come to terms that, even though she is attracted to him, her wolf may never be able to accept a submissive as a mate rather than just a plaything.

Flirtation of Fate is about Kenji and Garnet, members of the Snowdancer Wolf Pack. They had history, everyone expected that they would end up mated, but 7 years ago he stood her up for her 21st birthday party and suddenly started acting like a manwhore. They haven't spent much time together, but that changes after their Alpha's mating ceremony. Garnet wants to find out why Kenji seemed to have a major personality shift, and Kenji just wants to spend a little time with the woman he had felt compelled to give up.

All of these stories are good, with well-developed characters. But of the 4, I enjoyed Echo of Silence and Partners in Persuasion most. I enjoyed the characters, and the plot lines are excellent. They also seem more unique parts of the Psy-Changeling world. That may be because the first involves a human-psy pair, and the hero of the other is not a muscle-bound alpha type of guy. At any rate, I enjoyed the entire experience.

Wonderful as always!!

Any additional comments?

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 5
As always Nalini writes stories that I don’t ever want to end. Then you had in the talented voice goddess Angela Dawe and I am Psy-Changeling heaven. It is no wonder that this is one of my most favorite series ever.
I loved these stories.
In Echo of Silence we get to follow Tazia and Stephan’s journey of falling in love during a trying time of the Psy race. Silence hasn’t fallen yet, but Tazia and Stephan can’t stop fate.

Dorian oh my goodness!!! Dorina’s story made me tear up more than once. Dorina has always been one of my favorite changeling characters so getting his back story made me and extremely happy girl.

Partners in Persuasion was such a cute story. I really enjoyed listening to Dezi and Feliz’s story. It was great to watch this couple struggle with wanting to be together and not knowing how to make it happen.
Flirtation of Fate I enjoyed Kenji and Garnet’s story. We have seen these two throughout the whole series so it was great to finally get to know them better. I enjoyed watching them work together to solve a murder.
Love this series. I can’t wait to see what Nalini has in store for us next!! And of course I will continue to listen to this series as long as Ms. Dawe is the narrator!

The kind of book you can listen to over and over

I always look forward to a Nalini Singh book because it never fails to engage my interest, just as this book has done. So far, I've had it for two days and have already listened to it twice.

Wild Embrace A Psy Changeling Anthology.

This novella brought into full view of some characters that were in fifteen other books of Psy changeling series. ECHO OF SILENCE In a deep-sea station, Tazia Nerif has found her life’s work as an engineer, keeping things running smoothly. But she wants nothing more than to break down the barrier of silence between her and her telekinetic Psy station commander. By the name Stefan who was a formal arrow and also part of the cruel that work in the BlackSea. As they left for their two month break Stefan was able to get Tazia Nerif volunteer work to help her cover the duration of their month break uptown without been alone and depressed. From missing her family and not hearing from them while she was away working. They went back to their job where they continued to lived their lives together but in hiding from other. Again, I think we have all been wondering about the creation of the infamous Arrow sex research files. However, as the story unfolds, we forget all about Judd and Vasic and become involved with the intriguing man that is Stefan and his mate, Tazia. I absolutely loved this novella, but two things stood up for me. First, while Nalini Singh certainly writes characters with diverse backgrounds, she usually sticks with Western lifestyle. Tazia's culture is a break from that. DORIAN A changeling who can never shift lives a life of quiet frustration—until he learns how to let his leopard come out and play. This looks back from Dorian childhood and how he came to learn that he could not shift into his leopard and all the ways his parents try to help him lived. Without his ability to shift into his animal kind but his alpha at that time who was Lachlan took him into his care and thought him how live without. Including pushing him to make use of the leopard abilities as man to control his abilities. He learned and grow more and more including making use of that leopard to grow both in strength and skills. Until he met a Psy lady that change his life for better he love and falls strongly in love with Ashaya Aleine. He also took Ashaya’s son from Ming-LeBon during the time they were moving him. He kept the boy from been kidnapped and saved him he also shared blood connection with Keenan during which a bond was created. He became Keenan’s guider immediately without which no one can laid a claim on the boy. Not long after Ashaya was able to let two of the forgotten kidnapped victim’s to get away. It is also Dorian that was led the team of DarkRiver changeling pack that did the rescuer of Ashaya Aleine. It was her that was responsible for the treatment that helped Dorian leopard to be able to shift. At first it looks like that treatment failed but while they were away on camping it was then that the shift took place. He was able to run for the first time and he did see through the eyes of the leopard. Feel things through the leopard eyes and by the time they got home he was able to show his alpha. From there all the sentinels PARTNERS IN PERSUASION Still raw from being burned by a dominant female, wolf changeling Felix will never again risk being a plaything. But for dominant leopard Dezi, he’s the most fascinating man she’s ever met. She just has to convince this gun-shy wolf that he can trust the dangerous cat who wants to take a slow, sexy bite out of him. I didn’t think a book with a dominant female and a submissive male would have worked but it did. Desiree a senior soldier in the DarkRiver pack is enamored with Felix the horticulturist from the SnowDancer pack. Felix has been burnt before when he let himself get involved with a dominant. All he wants to do is look after his seedlings, find a mate, settle down and have pups. Desi is always the strong one and without realizing it she needs some soft, caring person in her life. She gets that with Felix. Felix courted Desi in a sneaky way. I loved how Desi took time to try to get to know him. And even though they had a rocky start they got their happily ever after. And although they were all epic of the novellas this is by far my favorite. Partners in Persuasion – 4 stars: Refreshing and heartwarming, yet my least favorite couple and story. Still amazing because this is Nalini Singh. nd they all trained him how to make use of his leopard. FLIRTATION OF FATE: FLIRTATION OF FATE - 4 STARS: Seven years ago, Kenji broke Garnet’s heart. Now the wolf packmates have to investigate the shocking murder of one of their own. And the more Kenji sees of the woman Garnet has become, the deeper he begins to fall once more. But even his primal instincts are no match for the dark secret he carries. the beginning but I was coming off my Deslix high. On top of that although there was chemistry between them. There was also a big rift and I didn’t see how that could be bridged. My curiosity got the better of me though because I really wanted to know what the deal was with Garnet and Kenji. Kenji & Garnet work in different dens for SnowDancer and they have history but they have always meant to be together. Garnet starts to see the caring boy that she once knew and realizes that there is something that Kenji hasn’t been telling her. Kenji can’t keep it a secret anymore how matter how hard he tries. There is also a mystery/murder that needs to be solved. Loved it! Having gone through this it makes more sense why Nalini Singh is the creative writer that she is. She never case to amaze me with her creativity.

Wow an other amazing book

This is a collection of shorts from the psy-changeling series. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this series Nalini Singh deserves more than the 5 stars I can give her. The world building and characters are so very amazing, it holds you captive wanting to devour the stories quickly and savour them slowly! Definitely a great series that you will need to re-read to pick up clues missed in the first read.

Great Collection

From start of the stories to the end, I didn't want to put it down/stop reading.

Echo of Silence I think is just long enough that it works as a perfect novella that introduces you to characters that you can easily fall in love with.

Dorian works because by the time you've read this you've likely read enough books to know who Dorian is, his journey, and how he's overcome.

Partners in Persuasion and Flirtation of Fate are almost great. The problem with these two books is that you've somewhat met the characters involved but you don't know them well enough for you not be given the same kind of backstory/longish formula that Echo of Silence gave you. Instead, you get kind of a insta love story with barely anything to overcome in Partners and then insta-forgiveness in Flirtation that could be reasonable given the time frame, but by the same default could also be unreasonable if someone has held onto a grude for that long.
