Publisher's Summary

The daughter of a Scottish lord with a dark and treacherous past, Rosalind Melbourne has spent years distancing herself from her past. After escaping her tyrannical father and marrying an aging English lord, she has become a powerful widow with a business empire at her command. Her business dealings are everything to her, leaving her no time for love. Especially not with her business rival, Ashton, a man with a scandalous reputation as striking as his blue eyes. Ashton is fascinated by the strong-willed, intelligent, and sensual lady who, up until now, had outsmarted him at every turn. Rosalind wishes she could deny she is falling for the brooding, handsome baron. How can she possibly trust him when doing so could cost her what she values most - her freedom? When Ashton discovers Rosalind might hold the key to saving the League of Rogues, he knows he will do anything to woo his wicked lass. As their pasts return to haunt them and dark forces rise to keep them from exposing a deadly spymaster, their game of love turns to a game of survival. Contains mature themes.

Loving the League of Rogues series

I love this series by Lauren Smith. Each book has its own exciting plot. I started the series in the Romance package, but will finish the series with credits or purchases. There is a lot of steam in the series. The Rogues and their love interests are a lot of fun. The narrator, Heather Wilds is great! If you love Regency and are bored with the ball rooms, try this series. Funny, suspense, Love, steam and evil villain who must go!

Sensual rivals

I really enjoyed the friendships and affection between the rogoues and their
Families. I wish there was resolution with the side stories. Is
Lauren going to write something about what happens to Hugo?It seems
She has started on a new series.-that's why I didn't give a rating of 5.

Horrible writing

I accidentally picked up this title not realizing it was part of a series I tried to listen to before. I always stop around the 3rd or 4th chapter for the same reason: TOO MUCH TELLING; NOT ENOUGH SHOWING. The long drawn-out narration drones on and on. After 5 minutes of nothing but monologue about what the characters are thinking — I find that I haven’t paid attention at all. The characters should DO stuff. All this 3rd person omniscient narration is boooooring and tedious.

Love this Series

I couldn't wait to read about Ashton and Rosalind romance. I like the way each book kind of sets you up for the next story. Very steamy!

Lauren Smith does it again!

Another enjoyable read from Lauren Smith! Can not wait for the next book in the series to come out. Audio was good but I have noticed some issues with editing as some sentences are repeated saying alternate. Also, sometimes the male characters names have been accidentally switched. This has happened in the previous books as well, but doesn't detract from the story.

Wicked Rivals

I've been waiting for Ashton's book and it did not disappoint. I cannot wait for the next one.

Spoiled a little by stilted narration.

Slightly stilted narration but interesting characterisation and story. Pity the narrator kept a stiff upper lip...more substance less style was needed. It stopped me engaging properly with not a bad story.
