Publisher's Summary

Grigori Barinov is the eldest in an ancient line of dragon shifters and the guardian of his family's lands and fortune. Sworn to protect their history and magic, he won't rest until he neutralizes any threat to their existence. When he discovers an ancient manuscript that exposes that his family and their dragon lineage has fallen into a mortal woman's hands, he knows he must get the book back by any means necessary. If that means seducing a nosy American woman with an intoxicating scent, he is more than willing to carry her off to his palatial home deep in the heart of Russia.

Madelyn Haynes has never fit in. As an adopted child, she grew up in a loving home but never felt as though she belonged. Plagued by mysterious dreams she's had of a silver scaled beast ever since she was a little girl, she is convinced dragons are real. While in Russia working on her PhD in mythology, she unexpectedly crosses paths with the sexy and dominating Grigori. Isolated in the Russian wilderness Grigori calls home, Madelyn can't help but fall under his sensual spell, yet something deep inside her calls out that she can't trust him. She has to show the world dragons are real to salvage her academic reputation, even if it means costing her the heart of the dragon she's falling in love with. Contains mature themes.

Let this one move you

Love love this paranormal story by Lauren Smith . She went all out on this one. Lauren’s imagination went all out I love her Historical and her contemporary. When I heard she was doing a dragon one , I had to get my hands it.
Hero is Grigori (a royal Dragon ) . Heroine is Madelyn . . Madelyn goes to Russia to investigate a tale about Dragons. She has to do a paper to save her career.
Once in Russia she goes to the library but the security guard notifies Grigori that this woman is reading a book 📚 about his family.
Once Grigori sees her and smells her he knows he has to have her . Madelyn is afraid of rain ☔️ but she doesn't know why . She has flashbacks of when she was young but storms but doesn't know why .
Something happens to reveal what Madelyn is and why her smell Attraacts Grigori

Lucy Rivers nailed it right on. I love hearing her voice

Great dragon romance!

I’m not usually a fan of shifter books, but this audiobook was excellent. I enjoyed the story of the college professor who travels to Russia to research myths about dragons. In Moscow, she asks to see a specific book in the library and this starts off a chain reaction in which she finds herself whisked off to a country estate with a man who looks identical to the sketch of a man in the book. Lots of action and romance. Wonderful narration!

Serve up one dragon please!

I'm definitely listening to the rest of this series! Got to have more dragons in my life. Lucy Rivers has become the voice of the book. Didn't know at first but it seems like Ms. Rivers voice just became the book. My favorite part was the Thunderbird changing and fighting for her dragon. Wow!

Ludicrous story!

I love fantasy stories, especially with dragons. Thanx to Thea Harrison. But, unfortunately I've yet to read a storyline that equals Ms. Harrison's take on magic, dragons and so on. This particular novel started off with a pretty weak beginning. 'Leaving a book with all your families secrets in a "library" And becoming angry when someone checks it out. Also, why it's set in Russia is beyond me, especially since the narrarator, who is a very good reader, but fails dismally when called to provide a Russian accent. All the people with accents sound alike, not mention a little slow. Terrible, terrible novel, couldn't finish it. Once again Thea Harrison reigns supreme in dragon story telling. This was laughable and a waste of my time and credit.

interesting enough story. HORRIBLE Russian accents

I actually like the narrator, but her Russian male voices leave a lot to be desired.
