Publisher's summary

Smooth. Sexy. Irresistible.

Those qualities equal only one thing.

Big. Freaking. Trouble.

Brynne Calloway knows that anything that seems too good to be true usually is. Fenton Abbott and his cashmere voice, Adonis body, and a magnetism like no other clearly falls into that category. But what's life without a little risk?

It was supposed to be a rebound, an uncomplicated escape from reality. But nothing ever goes as planned. Fenton turns out to be so much more in ways Brynne never sees coming.

Just get on with it!

Such a long winded story for such a short time period.Talk about modern day hero coming to the rescue, what are the odds that you leave your phone in with the produce and at the end of the day,be swept off by a very rich, gorgeous hunk.NONE!Not in reality, but this is why this is a story and not reality. An escape for your imagination.Overall, good story, plenty of steamy scenes,a nice everybody lives happily ever after book.A bit long winded though, repetitive.

So so

This book had me rolling my eyes so much I am surprised I didn't see my brain. The Heroine was so annoying. I really had to push myself to finish it.

Love full circle

If you could sum up Wherever It Leads in three words, what would they be?

Intrigue, drama, sex

Would you be willing to try another book from Adriana Locke? Why or why not?

I would read another, it was a decent storyline, the characters could have been better developed and a little less predictable, but the theme was good.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

All books should be listened to in one sitting to preserve continuity.

Any additional comments?

Lia Langola's performance was very good, she was able to give life to each character and her reading was emphatic where it needed to be and subtle when necessary.

IT PULLED ME IN & NOTHING COULD DRAG ME AWAY

Fenton is a wealthy, drool-worthy 29 yr old hot Alpha hero who doesn't believe in love - even when he finds a phone, scrolls the pictures and becomes determined to track down its owner.... all in the hopes of becoming 'better acquainted' with the mesmerizing blonde in one particular picture. 23 yr old Brynne has had a hard time of it - her older brother's been taken hostage, she caught her now ex boyfriend cheating on her and she's lost her phone which had precious memories on it. But all that changes when a man, with a cashmere sexy voice, phones Presley (her BFF) to let them know that he has saved the day by finding her phone.

Fenton arranges a meeting to hand over the phone and both Presley and Brynne have fun speculateing about the mystery saviour.... but nothing could have prepared them for the charming, sexy and oh so edible Fenton. The chemistry between Fenton and Brynne sizzles, the mutual attraction is like a force field and the sexual tension is shocking.... and then he asks her out. Although Brynne's confidence, self-esteem and mood is low it's boosted by the mystery Adonis and his obvious interest in her so that, coupled with Presley's pushing, finds her stepping into a world of intrigue, pleasure, passion, sex, fun, turmoil, secrets, betrayal, heartbreak, joy.... and love. Because, despite everything, they have both found 'the one'... but staying together proves impossible.

I loved - loved - loved this listen.... from its flawed yet loving loveable characters, through its often humorous, touching and passionate storyline to its romantic Epilogue... I was there on the sidelines cheering them on through all their highs and lows. And my dogged perseverance was gifted with a sweet HEA which was nicely followed by a picturesque Epilogue. Apart from Chapter 1 and the Epilogue this enjoyable listen was told from Brynne's POV and brought to life by a good narrator.

Worth a credit? Fenton starts off by being a very busy multi-Cmpany business owner whose attraction to Brynne forces him to mix business with pleasure because he asks her to accompany him on a business trip to Las Vegas. But his focus is constantly being interrupted from sex and seduction to cryptic phone calls and secretive meetings... and then, with Brynne's innocent revelation, suddenly things between them grind to a stop. However, this is only the beginning for a couple whose destinies are linked together - but first Fate is going to muddy the waters.... and this makes for a very enjoyable, very addictive and very creditworthy listen. Yes it's predictable but, for me, it didn't detract from or spoil my enjoyment of this wonderful love story.

Wherever It Leads

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes.Wherever It Leads has the perfect balance of romance, humor, mystery. Its low on angst and delivers a perfect HEA.It has a swoon worth alpha male and a strong ,confident female lead.I love Adriana's writing.

What other book might you compare Wherever It Leads to and why?

Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley. The Rock Chick series also has great writing, strong female characters, alpha hero that is dominant but with a sweet heart.I loved Brynne and Presley's relationship.I love reading about women supporting one another, and Presley was exactly what Brynne needed. As Brynne's BFF, Presley knew how to nudge Brynne in the right direction and convince her to give Fenton a chance. It wasn't supposed to be serious (it never is) but it developed to a beautiful love story.Another great thing about the book is the connection between Brynne and her parents and brother.I love when an author builds a story based on a characters relationships , the good and the bad. None of them were perfect, but they were united in their love and support of one another.

What does Lia Langola bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Lia did a fantastic job narrating all the different characters. She also did great in switching modes :between sadness, hurt, passion, heartache etc.Brynne experienced them all in WIL and Lia narrated her and the rest of the cast perfectly.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES. I didn't want to stop listening. Adriana wrote an engaging book that was hard to stop listening /reading until the end.

Any additional comments?

A great book that shows us the power of love: Brynne's love for her brother, her belief that he will come back safe.Presley's support of her best friend.Fenton's love for Brynne that made him sacrifice himself and do everything in his power to help her brother.Wherever It Leads is a book that leaves you well satisfied.Highly recommended.

Unique Story

This was my first Adriana Locke story. It will not be my last. The story was written very well.

The story itself was interesting and has some fun twists to it! I would definitely classify this as rom suspense with some angst thrown in here and there.

I also really like how they were described as fated to meet.

Fenton went from a stand-offish, lonely, sad business man to a warm, open, caring soul who showed the world his heart.

Lia Langola narrates this book solo as it’s about 98 percent from the female perspective with just a few glimpses from the male perspective. She did a great job.

Sexy and flirty!

WIL far exceeded my expectations (I have already re-read it!). Fenton is absolutely amazing and I'm in love. (Sorry Crew, Max and Cane). Superb alpha male character. Flirty, sexy, driven and did I say sexy?! Brynne is a beautiful woman who has been dealt some bad blows but finds her confidence and sass growing after meeting Fenton. Presley?! I would love to have her for a best friend. There was just the right amount of intrigue, sex, flirtation, friendship, family, devotion and more sex in WIL.
The anticipation has been building with all the sexy teasers and it was worth the wait. Adriana Locke really delivered in Wherever It Leads!! 5 flirty, sassy and dream-worthy stars!!!

I loved the reader. She did a great job acting out the various roles and emotions.

Nice story

This was a nice, kind of predictable story and I enjoyed it. A light, easy listen. Lia Langola did a good job but I would have liked it better if she wouldn't have sounded so flirty and immature when she was talking to Fenton. I would definitely purchase this again.

well...

Although I'm a huge fan of this author, this one wasn't my favorite. The alpha male/Pretty Woman start felt cold andemotionless, in spite of some excellent eroticism. Also felt her capitulation didn't set a great precedence.
I didn't fall in love with Felton Abbott, but that may have had more to do with his narration, which made him sound like a 17 year old. My first question to the guy would have been, "what's a bazillionaire like you doing shopping his own produce?!"... and it never really suspended reality for me.
I do love your work, Adriana Locke. This one just wasn't my favorite.
