This book taught me so much about assertiveness and how to deal with manipulation. It also showed me how I was being manipulative or passive aggressive with others. Amazing book.

Fantastic book on how to be assertive in our daily communication. The author outlines healthy communication in a way in which you stand up for what you believe while allowing the other person to make their own choices, thus allowing for mutual compromise if that is possible.either way we get to maintain our own power and our communication and in our lives.

I’ve recently had some opportunities to put to practice the skills taught in this book. It has been so empowering and, dare I say it, fun! I wish I had read this book many years ago. It would have saved me many years of being manipulated by guilt and obligation. I’m recommending it to everyone I know who may have the occasion to have to deal with a manipulative person (which is everyone)! The author teaches by giving practical examples, and it really works!
