With old enemies vanquished, new heroes emerge.

Sir Torsten Unger must deal with the aftermath of the Drav Cra's failed occupation of Yarrington. But with so much power up for grabs, old enemies begin to show their faces from the darker corners of the city.

Desperate to find Sora, Whitney Fierstown joins a traveling troupe of entertainers in order to secure safe passage to Yaolin, where he believes he can find her. What seems like a simple journey, however, grows complicated when Whitney finds himself growing too close to his new companions and must chose between saving them from certain death or continuing on his own.

In the south, a new warrior rises up to fight in the name of her father, Muskigo Ayerabi. It will take everything she has to prove that the time of the Shesaitju has come as he once taught her.

Don't miss the highly anticipated fourth book in the epic and unpredictable Buried Goddess Saga.

Part of the enjoyment reading book four is you know there are two more left and the authors have room to really expand what we see of this realm and the way all the forces will go to battle. I don’t want to spoil anything, so that’s my main take away. I love this series, and book four felt like the authors taking advantage of the space provided in a six book series instead of three so that we can see more character growth, more conflict and a ton of interesting twists and power struggles. Luke is at the top of his game here and frequently made me laugh out loud.

Loving the expansion

another wonderful installment in the epic arc. I love to see how all the characters continue to grow. some I started hating in the first book, but am utterly enthralled by them now.

stupendous

I enjoyed the books except Torstens part, where
1)He continually makes the SAME mistakes over and over and over. I literally got a jaw ache from gritting my teeth in frustration as his complete stupidity. Charging at people and acting a fool only makes him look it. His consistency in not planning or thinking through things and only using his brawn makes me think very little of him, and I can't BELIEVE how many times he wishes he thought through things and how many times he wishes he had paid more attention to his situation and thought things through but the next issue that comes up he does it again. Not ONCE has he in any of the books sat down and really thought through his actions or made a real plan. If he had men stationed near the Vineyard when he went none of what happened would have. Seriously, why he feels he has to do everything himself I don't understand. Him saying he doesn't need to make it out alive doesn't matter is stupid, if he didn't then who on earth would actually TELL the king? Who would protect the idiot in the future?
2)For the royal family, continually to immediately and automatically go against Torsten after he's continually proven right and that he has the best interest of the Kingdom is ridiculous.
3)If I was Torsten I would have just bailed on the stupidity and let that bratty child King lose his kingdom and go retire and chill out somewhere while the kingdom burned and laughed the entire time.
4)The queen is also a stupid idiot, sorry but if people are shooting arrows at me I wouldn't be pissy at the men trying to protect me. I have no idea why Torsten thinks she is so wonderful, but she is awful.
5)Who ever wrote his part never thought through how someone coumd have risen so far as Wearer of White and been so stupid and thoughtless. It's impossible. To go that high you have to be not only tough but SMART. Absolutely none of his actions are thought out, and there is no way basically a General could make it that high up and be that stupid in actual war planning.

The rest of the book is great, the rest of the other books are great, but his parts are just ridiculous. Maybe he will redeem himself later but not right now and there are only 2 books left.

I admit I'm glad Redstar is dead, but mostly because the narrator did this gasping, sucking, slurping sound with his speech that made me want to gag, won't say what he sounded like, but I do know you shouldn't talk and slurp while doing it, well, assuming you're doing it right anyway.

Very Frustrating
