Two shadows in a dark alley: They look so alike they could easily be twins. I strain my senses, and I smell vampire. When I'm killing my mark, a deafening scream comes out of its mouth, so I wake up. I've been haunted far too long by this nightmare, and the job at the academy isn't helping me anymore.

There's a vampire with a long list of goons chasing after me, looking to avenge his brother's death.

I know this is no ordinary vampire: He's very powerful. His face has been haunting me every night; this time I'm scared, and I feel in real danger. I have a feeling this will be my time.

So I'm out on the street again, ready to fight, and this time, I'm the only one to blame.

Vampire Hunter that is a half-breed interesting

I love how she is a half-breed killing vampires for money and then realizes it is not for the best. It takes her awhile to transform her life for the better. I enjoyed how she worked through all the loss and realization of how she needed to change. Great read #AudioBookObsession

Where a half vampire turns into a vampire hunter. I really liked the direction this book went and you could feel all the emotions involved with a great narration.

Plot seems interesting enough, but...

So, I must confess I didn't make it very far in listening to this series because of the narration. I couldn't handle the... robotic is the best word I can come up with... delivery. I will say that the narrator did do pretty well in changing voices for the different characters (to the point I'd listened, at least), hence 2 stars for narration instead of just one. In any case, I returned the Audible version (something I rarely do). Since it's currently free to read on Kindle, I'll try reading the first book of the series there,

No bad just predictable

Maybe I read too many of these kinds of books because I found the stories predictable. However, the characters were likable and the plots were decent.

Decent series. Action packed

I have mixed feelings about this series. Parts of the stories were awesome and action packed and then others were extremely dull. Adele is a half vampire who starts off hunting vampires. I don’t want to give things away but her career path changes a bit and she does grow as a person. I feel like everything was wrapped up nicely. But I still felt bored throughout the series.

The narration was good. She did a great job changing her voice to give the characters a different voice. If you get the change to listen to it I highly recommend it.
