Publisher's Summary

New York Times best-selling author Lynsay Sands brings the heat in this new Argeneau novel, as one woman is rescued by an irresistible immortal....

“Vampires...”

When Raffaele Notte pulls a barely dressed, disoriented woman from the ocean, the last thing he expects is for her to utter that word. The immortal has come to the island resort to help his cousin, but now, it seems, there are rogue vampires dining on unsuspecting tourists. And he soon realizes that not only is Jess a target, she’s also the life mate for whom he’s been waiting....

Vampires are real. Jess would’ve never believed it until she saw them with her own eyes. She knows she has to get off the island, and her gallant rescuer has offered to help. There’s something about Raffaele that’s unlike any man she has ever met, and his touch sends pleasure through her that is beyond all imagining. But when Jess discovers who he really is, will she risk life as she knows it for a chance of forever by his side?

meh

Not as good as previous ones ... disappointing as I look forward to each new offering. Hope the next one is back to the story level I have come to expect from Ms. Sands.

Horrible narration...Story was anticlimactic

Don't get Audiobook. Worst narrator ever. don't waste your $ .Book itself is alright...I've read every argeneau book and I dislike heroine. Too whiney.. Hard to get invested or like it. I usually love this series...

Meh

I waited for this book for it seems like years. I feel a little let down. Ever read a book and you didn't like it but you can't really say why? This was one for me.

This book was just ok for me. Parts were annoying. Parts was too wordy. Parts made me smile and laugh. I know it's a good book when I still think about it after it's done. I think this will be forgotten quite easily.

Jess annoyed me a lot. Her inner dialog drove me crazy. Rafaele was a bit better. I seem to like all the male characters Ms. Sands writes.

After reading the reviews on Amazon I seem to be the only one who didn't like it very much.

Another great book in the series

It amazes me that she can do so many of these and all of the plots are different. I love her writing with its humor and compassion.

Surprisingly DNF

Genre: paranormal romance
I preordered this book as soon as I found out that it had a scheduled release and I counted the days until it dropped into my library. I usually enjoy the books in the Argeneau series, which I generally rate 3-4 stars (however, the narrators on some were so horrible I had to purchase the kindle edition). So I expected this to be at the very least, an average listen. I was disappointed. First of all, it is __b o r i n g__. Then there is every indication that stupid-as-a-plot-device is in the offing. Can’t stand that. I tried and tried to listen, but it was impossible. So despite my enjoyment of this series, I did not finish.

The Narrator

I did not care for the Narrator. He was to bland for me. I did like the story though.

First shock then, Pleasantly surprising

At first I did not like the book. It took four restarts to get my attention. It was much different that her previous books. And I have them all! Once I allowed myself to really listen the characters started to grow on me. In the end I enjoyed the listen. I must confess I have listened to it twice.
