Publisher's Summary
She’s never left her home in the mountain wilderness of the Canadian Rockies - until now. Little did she realize, this journey would change her life in every way.
The mountain wilderness of her family’s home in the Canadian Rockies is all Hannah Grant has ever known. Now at the age of 24, she’s on a journey to help her father to find the son he gave up for adoption three decades before. This is Hannah’s chance to discover the life she’s missed out on so far - and hopefully find a husband along the way. But she certainly doesn’t plan to fall for the first man she meets.
Years in the cavalry provided Nathaniel Peak with more than his share of violence and adventure. That life behind him, he wants nothing more than to settle down in the beautiful Montana mountains and raise his own stock - in peace. The last thing he expects is the savagely wounded child who shows up in his barn. Nor the woman he comes to rely on for the girl’s care.
Hannah can’t help but fall in love with the brave Indian child who so desperately needs her, but no matter what, she can’t let herself fall for the man whose past choices go against everything she believes in. As the situation grows worse, Hannah and Nathaniel are forced to make a heart-rending decision to save the girl’s life. Little do they imagine, the choice they make could spell disaster for them all.

Perfect Finale! 💟
This was such an enjoyable series! Each book can stand alone but some characters are spoken about or included in each instalment. This final book did not disappoint. This heartfelt story and characters drew me in from the beginning and left me feeling fulfilled but wishing for more. As usual, Leonor A Woodworth's narration was spot on. What a treasure for this genre!

Loved this book.
Misty M Beller is one of my favorite authors! She is truly gifted in her ability to create a story that won't let the reader put it down!
The only critique I would put forth, is that the narrator be just a touch more careful in the pronunciation of some words. When the word needed was "cavalry", it was read as calvary. This was distracting every time it occurred. It's a minor thing, yet also important to those who know the difference. Otherwise...wonderfully performed and written. Highly recommended!!

Bittersweet Ending- looking forward to the next series
I’ve spent countless hours listening to Ms. Beller’s books. I’m glad I decided to listen to Kathleen and Ruben’s story first. I felt like Emma and Simeon’s story was so long ago that it took a a little while to realize who Ruben was! Anyway, both are great series. I’ve enjoyed them immensely. Although there are a few with TERRIBLE narrators, such a Brian’s story. My goodness. That was painful but my loyalty helped me continue. It was worth it. Loved loved loved.

A great ending to a wonderful series!
What a great final book! I did not want the series to end, but it had to. Misty did a wonderful job of bringing the book 1 full circle in this 7th book. The talent that Misty has is that even though it is a series, each book can be read as a stand alone and you are never lost in the the over all plot. Not many authors can do this so well. Looking forward to Misty's next series!
Leonor once again brought the story to life with her performance of characters and the perfect flow of the narrative!

An Emotional Finalization
What an emotional finalization of the Heart of the Mountains series! I hated to know this was the end because I enjoyed them all. This audiobook’s narrator was wonderful as usual. I have gotten used to Leonor Woodworth’s narration of this series and it just felt like I was coming home to finish the story. And in truth that’s what it was.
The characters are complex and well written. I enjoyed so much Nathaniel and Hannah bonding over a little girl while trying to save her life. Then the story comes full circle with Simeon and Reuben getting to meet. A book that has dangers lurking and is inspirational with a tender love story that you don’t want to miss.
I received a copy of this audiobook from the narrator and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

Fine journey
This Healing Journey
Heart of the Mountains, Book 7
: Misty M. Beller
This is book 7, the final book in this series. A historical fiction, romance and family reuniting. When a young Indian girl that is seriously injured is found in Nathaniel's barn, he goes to find hep. Hannah comes to help. As they care for the child, they develop feelings for each other. This story follows them through the tough battle to restore the child to health. This is a fine wrap up to this series, and the listener gets a sneak peak at a new series.
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Leonor A Woodworth brings this book to life.

What a wonderful finish!
Misty M Beller finishes the Heart of the Mountains series with a beautiful story! This one really touched my heart. Nathaniel and Hannah's story is incredibly captivating for a couple of reasons. They meet when Hannah helps her father find the children he gave up close to 30 years ago. Nathaniel is settling into his home when he finds Itu, an injured Indian child in his barn. Itu is severely injured and with the help of Hannah, Nathaniel begins to care for her. But danger is lurking, and when Itu disappears, Nathaniel and Hannah's lives change. Not only are they scared for their lives, but they realize deeper feelings for each other. But will they survive? And will Itu live to be a happy, healthy little girl? I can't say enough good things about this series. It not only has wonderful love stories set in a time period that I love, but the bones of the story are so good. While stand alones, they do flow together and we get bits and pieces of each over the years. In this one, the center of the story with Itu is one of compassion and love, as well as their faith in God. It's a beautiful ending to this series.
Leonor A Woodworth finishes out the series with her incredible narrations. I love her voice. She always hones in on the character and is able to find the perfect voice and inflections to give to her portrayal and it gives a unique personality to each one. Her voice is soothing and makes the listen extremely enjoyable.
