Whines too much

Too basic you made a killer into a whiny little kid not believable. I am 45 minutes in and have to stop the audio. Narrator is wasted on this book.

Great audiobook

This book was great. A combo of space travel, a human protagonist, and characters from Camelot and King Arthur lore. As great as the book was, the narrator brought it to life. Every character (especially Merlin and Grenyth) were voiced perfectly. Can’t wait for book two to find out more about Lancelot! Be sure to listen thru the closing credits!

Frustrating

The MC is a whiny little b*tch and let's Merlin walk all over him and dismiss him.

Not enough science

Well written but a bit corny and too much magic and not futuristic enough. I’ve enjoyed this author’s other books much more.

Sci-fi magic mix

I am not a fan of magic, there are no parameters. With sci-fi, you can create some kind of wondrous material or effect. But it was a good story.

Interesting take on King Arthur

An new interesting take on King Arthur. I enjoyed the new take on an old story. The narrator did a great job.

Great book! Great narration!

So, I started off thinking oh goody, another King Arthur book, but its NOT! It's so much better than the stories we grew up with! I love syfy, so I bought the audible because my listening mood was really in a rut. same old stuff on Audible. SO glad I did! Thomas is a great character and he really comes across likeable in this Audio book. The narration is so good, I sometimes kept trying to see if the narrator was the same person for the other Characters! But then as the story progressed, I'd forget about trying to figure out the narration and fell right back in to the story. I just love everything about this audible. I have a Joy Ellis thriller in my library waiting to be next in line, but I had to buy book two, There Be Dragons because I was so into the Story!
Sorry Joy! I will get to you in about three or 4 more books!
The supporting characters are so likeable that I really got caught up! The Villains are so villainous that I get caught up in that too! We all know dragons can be jerks!
But like I said, I am almost finished with book 2 and it is NOT predictable, but seems to lead you somewhere you didn't think you'd go! Excellent Narrator! Excellent writing! I will be moving on to books 3 and 4 by the end of the week.

I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to the next one. I love the combination of sci-fi and medieval fantasy.

Interesting take and Scifi and Magic

Enjoying the idea about Arthur and Excalibur, it's new and fun. lighthearted story with seems to be building up to alot more in the next chapters.

really great story potential ruined by ai patterns. gets worse in the 2nd half of the book.
