The story is delightful, the reader is not
I have read this book twice and watched the movie several times. Both are beloved favorites and so when I went on a road trip with my mother, I thought this would be a good fit for our long drive. The reader has a decent narrators voice but her voice for Marguerite is sickly sweet (think Miss Piggy) and the emotions are all read with the exact same inflection whether male or female. I found myself laughing out loud at some of Marguerite's interactions because they sounded utterly ridiculous.
