Publisher's summary

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the teahouse....

Miss Charlotte Pettifer belongs to a secret league of women skilled in the subtle arts. That is to say - although it must never be said - witchcraft. The League of Gentlewomen Witches strives to improve the world in small ways. Using magic, they tidy, correct, and manipulate according to their notions of what is proper, entirely unlike those reprobates in the Wisteria Society.

When the long-lost amulet of Black Beryl is discovered, it is up to Charlotte, as the future leader of the League, to make sure the powerful talisman does not fall into the wrong hands. Therefore, it is most unfortunate when she crosses paths with Alex O’Riley, a pirate who is no Mr. Darcy. With all the world scrambling after the amulet, Alex and Charlotte join forces to steal it together. If only they could keep their pickpocketing hands to themselves! If Alex’s not careful, he might just steal something else - such as Charlotte’s heart.

A lot of fun, but not quite as good as the first book

The narration is perfection and the tension is delicious, but the story is not quite as much fun as the first book. Still a great listen though, and I look forward to the next!

Wordsmith thy name is India Holton

I lost count of the times I smashed the bookmark. It's been a while since I felt the urge to immediately read a book after just finishing listening.

Elizabeth Knowelden was sublime per usual.

Fun for a Day's Listen

This series is meant to be irreverent and fun and that is just what it is. I like the fact that previous characters show up at opportune times. This series is meant to be a bit sarcastic and a bit roll your eyes at the clichéd moments.
To me, they are worth an enjoyable dip into crazy land. Enjoy!

Cute but cheesy

This was a very cute book but I def rolled.my eyes at the cheesy vibes there were in the book. Ultimately it's def good escapism.

very fun with out being dumb

so pleasantly surprised and a great break from books about life and death but still well written. The use of literally character references got old but the book was pure victorian camp. can't recommend enough
