To save both her town and the woman who loves her against all odds, a witch haunted by loss must reckon with her turbulent past, in the next magical romance in the Witches of Thistle Grove series by New York Times bestselling author Lana Harper.

Even in a family of chaotic necromancers, Daria “Dasha” Avramov has always been an outlier. An event planner at the Arcane Emporium occult megastore, Dasha is also a devil eater: a rare necromantic witch with an affinity for banishing demons and traversing the veil, the boundary between this realm and the next.

Still grieving the loss of both beloved parents years ago, and plagued by a dangerous obsession with the world beyond the veil, Dasha is fiery yet guarded, an expert at dodging commitment. Her worst regret is a devastating breakup with the wise, empathetic, and sensual Ivy Thorn, her event-planning counterpart at Honeycake Orchards, and probably the love of Dasha’s life. Dasha has managed to break Ivy’s heart not once, but twice, so things are more than a little tense between them.

When they’re thrown together to plan the Cavalcade—a month-long festival celebrating Thistle Grove’s ceremonial founding with dazzling spectacles held by the town’s witch families—Dasha hopes that the third time might be the charm, while Ivy refuses to let herself be hurt again. As they confront the pain and passion lingering between them, Dasha and Ivy must also stand against an otherworldly threat unlike anything Thistle Grove has faced before.

Critic reviews

"The Witches of Thistle Grove series concludes with an enchanting queer romance... Harper’s exquisite, descriptive prose once again shines and fully immerses the reader in this alluring, magical world."—Kirkus Reviews

"Harper always delivers on eerie atmosphere and warm heart. In her world, witchcraft is complex and interesting, with beautifully crafted details. But the real magic of this book lies in its rich, wonderful cast of characters."—BookPage

"With its mix of enchanting queer romance, deep emotional themes, and a vibrant magical world, this final installment encapsulates what fans have loved about the series... Harper’s ability to blend magical lore with the characters’ personal struggles shines through, making Rise and Divine an emotionally resonant read."—The Nerd Daily

"All of the interactions between the characters in this story were so well characterized and the dialogue was extremely well written. I was also very happy to be back in the Thistle Grove world. Rise and Divine is also the perfect book for fall/spooky season!"—HerCampus

"Rise and Divine feels so much bigger than the small-town romance the Thistle Grove series used to be. The stakes are unbelievably, supernaturally high... In retrospect, you can see the story getting bigger and bigger, growing to the point where this conclusion feels like a completely natural one. I’m going to miss this series. I’m going to miss these characters. But if you have to go out, you might as well go out on a high like Rise and Divine."The Geeky Waffle

as much as I loved this entire series, I can't bring myself to rank any of them 5 stars. I feel like they could have been done better sure but I still am happy with what I got. these will end up shelf trophies for sure.

This one in the series hit pretty hard, esp when I'm married to someone who is a recovering addict. Lana Has a great way of bringing in real life shit into a soft fantasy world, hiding real life advice and messages within it. Medium stakes kinda vibes, like what's happening is big stakes but they get handled comfortably and efficiently. Or like, eating chips... Empty calories, it's so good and you don't get full. Also your not stressed as things are going down like usual in other books. It also shows just how much trauma and mistrust I have in myself because at every turn I'm just waiting for someone to backstab or betray one of the main character in each book of this series (which never happened) lol.... Am I damaged? Probably.

Thanks for writing a great story, I hope these continue for a long time and we just keep popping around the town to different main characters and their lives lol bc my bowl is now empty, and I want more chips.
