Teenage Aramina has the unusual ability to hear dragons. Her keen perception causes dismay to her mother, who fears Aramina will desert her family and commit to living the life of a dragonrider. In the land of Pern, Aramina's family is known as the "holdless," nomads who roam the land to hide from bandits. Aramina must find a way to exploit her unique talent without sacrificing the family she loves. love all McCaffrey stories

This is one of my favorite stories but the way it started out sounded as if was started in the middle of the reading.

Confusing

I'm not sure why, but two unrelated short space stories were tacked on. Was Aramina's story actually completed or was there more but those two stories accidentally added in its place?

3 short stories.

3 short stories. Only the first is of the dragonriders storyline. Its a ok story. But the last 2 storys were lame. One about a girl that likes horses. And the other about a guy that creates a female hologram and she shows up in the flesh and they kiss. Wtf.

3 short stories. 1 of Pern

The first short story is about Aramina, the girl who heard dragons, and her point of view encounter with Thela.

Too Short

There are three stories in this book . I completely enjoyed the stories . I felt they were too short . The stories were good and the performance was also . The problem is that just as you get into the story it's over . I would very much like to hear each of them fleshed out and expanded upon .

UMM Is this A Mistake??

Like a previous reviewer stated the narration is wonderful!!! However the story is cut off midway and goes into another story about a young lady who wants to be a horse trainer but it definitely isn't the epic fantasy book I purchashed. This story is also cut off to talk about some young guy on a space station creating a holographic fantasy girl who to his surprise ends up assigned to his space station and then even that gets cut off. I wanted a 3 hour story about a girl who heard dragons this is definitely a serious let down:(

Misleading.

There are 3 short stories here. Quick grabs for short wait times. I appreciate Dick York narrating the Pern books.
